That's actually how I felt about LFS the first time I played it (about 5 years ago). I just couldn't get used to the keyboard controls, and the mouse controls seemed so unnatural. That's before I got a wheel. After the wheel came, everything worked beautifully.
I just like the car selection and the track selection in both games. I also like the dynamic weather in the games as well..but I haven't played long enough to tell if the daylight goes to night if it even does...but i know some people hate it..but im saying Race07..is a bit better than LFS..Because it has everything everyone wants to be in LFS..
I play RACE07 in a community - the online racing is genuinly better than LFS, much more fun, much higher quality of racing, and when there is contact cars don't hit space like they do on LFS.
actually, i just played 2 race weekends and it didnt feel good. so i played few race weekends with the most realistick things i can get, 100% rain and the race starts 23.00 and tryed to drift and then quited playing it. you should try night&100% rain races. pretty fun when u put put the AI to the psycothic in that kinda race
What are you using to steer? A wheel? If you are using a wheel do you see in the controls where it says Left Right? If you do click the Left option and turn your wheel Left....turn Right with the Right
I ment that the cars are exessively understeering... It's probably got more to do with the car setup (springs, dampers etc) than the actual controller setup.
Post a replay. Whilst setups can cause understeer, it's more likely to be excess steering input or entry speed from you.
Edit: Oooooooooooooooh, GTR2. Well, you're stuffed mate. Sell it on Ebay (about 50p is the value), and buy a car simulator. NFS is quite realistic (in comparison).
In GTR2, correct? It's not you. I'm no slouch when it comes to setups and I found absolutely no middle ground between terminal understeer and massive oversteer. This goes for pretty much all ISI-based games.
If you want a realistic game with an even better car and track selection and better sounds, go and buy Forza Motorsport 2 (for XBox). A certain someone I know reckons that the tyre model is probably better than any PC sim. And the sounds and everything are all top notch. If you take the aids off and get a wheel, I'm sure it'll feel like a proper sim.
