Have you made the LED-thingie? If yes, open freetrack software, put it to 6POV, run LFS and voi'la...

If u have a web cam, then u can also use a program called cam2pan...google it i do belive its free

You must use at least one led in freetrack (I prefer 3 so I can use all 6 axis).

Led, you mean paper dot or THIS Led?

Nope. There is no easy way to do it. If you don't want to solder couple of LED's together, only option is to buy TrackIR.
