It's scary to think that there is thruth in "Loose change" documentary after all..
Did we have a discussion on this, i can't recall... i can't find any reason not to believe in that documentary...and that video of Twin towers perfectly and controlably collapsing?? Scary stuff..

It was shown here over a year ago, maybe 2 or 3yrs back ? can't quite remember. So i'm surprised it's taken this long to filter out to the rest of the world.

To be honest it didn't really say anything that we didn't know already. But i'm sure there will be a torrent available somewhere if you really want to see it. If i remember correctly it was a short series of 3 or 4 episodes.

It is not a singular organisation by itself. Rather it is an alliance of organisations who subscribe to similar doctrine of militant Islamic extremism.

Osama Bin Laden himself uses the word "Al Qaeda".

The premise of the documentary is only partially true in that Al Qaeda is not an "organisation", if one uses a strict definition of that word. However it is not a CIA fabrication. It is known to the Russians also, perhaps at the same time or even before the CIA was aware, although not with the same name as it is often called now.

Yeah, don't get things mixed up ... The debate over whether Al-Quaeda exists is not part of some conspiracy theory involving controlled demolition and Pentagon self-harming...

AFAIK its merely about whether Al-Quaeda is an accurate way of categorising diverse Islamic militants. Its certainly very handy for the propagandistic purposes of BOTH sides (if there are indeed only two sides in this "war"...) to have an identifiable name to act as either a totem of terror or a flag to rally around.

Whether it exists in the same sense as, for example, Coca Cola exists (with a formal hierachy of directors, workers, shareholders etc) is another matter entirely...
