Green/White/Checker Implement?
Can you implement the Green/White/Checker rule? It's overtime for NASCAR and it'll make things very interesting if there's a giant pile up with 4-2 to go

Can you tell me more about that rule...

I'm an NASCAR noob
If there is a caution with 2 or 3 laps to go you have to restart the race and do a green, white, checkered. So you go green to start the race, white for last lap, checkered for the end.

Kenneth
To be more specific about it...if the caution would make the race end under caution, they will make ONE attempt at a Green-White-Checkers finish.

I would suggest as many attempts as it takes. So someone doesn't feck it up and make a yellow on the restart.

ehhmmm maybe I am stupid, but i still do not understand it...

Some noob crashes with a couple of laps to go. The SC is brought back in again with 2 to go (green flag) There then is 1 lap to go (white flag) then the race finish (checkered)
aha... thanks J@tko

Same here, I hate finishing races under caution.

Please implement this

It's correct Add this rule
so... 4 laps before end so chrashes, pace car slows the pack down sothat there will be 2 laps to go while restart, and then the sprint to checked
what is when there are just two laps to go? WTCC-like adding laps to the race distance for doing this green/white/checkered?`(If so, we could have some issues with recording a mpr)
Not directly involved in this race, but I'll give some info and make a suggestion. When NASCAR does this, it's so they don't end under caution, and is purely for fan and TV interests. Also, when they do have a caution that causes this condition, they throw the red flag to avoid going around the track as many times as it takes to clean the mess up, which could cause fuel issues with cars, and that isn't good for TV ratings either.

So, when this happens, throw the red flag, stop the SC at a safe place (presumably on the back straight), and have the race steward (presumably with server admin rights) adjust the laps with the "/laps=##" command to make sure that when you go back to green, there are 2 laps to go.

does not this cause an invaild mpr recording??? that's the problem I thought could happen.
When I added a lap to the LFSBC AS2 round mid-race, it didnt' feck it up.

If I can get Windows installed Friday night next week and running on my MacBook (Maybe Bootcamp FTW), I'm willing to be on server to take care of this issue and be race director. i've been to several oval races and listed on scanner to race control. So I know a thing or two, I reckon.

It would be very helpful if you were race director. Then you can watch out for crashes on the track and decide whether or not to give a caution (I'm not very good at that ).

Once the SC procedure is final, I will send you a PM telling you exactly what you need to know , so that you (or NtrlBrnRacer) can enforce the SC rules. Whilst I epic fail at driving the SC

I wouldn't think so because the replay doesn't automatically stop recording when the final lap is completed. Hmmmm....I may have to do some testing on this also.

Though, it is possible that the replay will show the change in laps at the time it is done. Not such a bad thing, as it would be a visual indicator that the race had to be extended due to the GWC.
just thought so, because It happens in single player with sprs on my PC. Changing the Distance causes a not-recording of the replay, or in very rare situations it causes an invaild recorded replay.
sp stops reacording reaplays often, but i think it wont happen with mprs.
im for the rule
i HATE cautions, and i HATE boring finishes.
Quote from Stefani24 : i HATE cautions, and i HATE boring finishes.

I love cautions, it give people a chance to catch up if they made a mistake. but a finish under caution is boring so if you weigh the pros and cons I'd say the G/W/C would be good

yep thats great, but i meant i hate DRIVING UNDER CAUTION.
so booooring

The crammed pit stops makes up for that
Quote from JO53PHS :Thank god the Kyoto pitlane is massive

Might not help if the entire field comes down
Would be nice if we could assign pit stalls.

Sounds good in theory, but in practice, a nightmare to organise. We thought about doing this for the LFSBC Round 7, but it would have caused lots of confusion.
