Only hardcore fans are up
Red Bull are looking in good shape.

And looks like Ferrari's sidepod-sticky-off bits are very flexible...
Heh yeh im watching. Lewis Hamilton seems to be almost a second ahead of the rest. :S

F.Massa seems to be getting close though. Aha, he is 0.4 seconds behind Lewis. :P

Psh, I thought raikkonen was one of the best.. He's more then a second behind =_=
The tyre covers? They're like electric blankets for tyres - keep them warm.
Ahh, cool. First time I watch F1.
Oh you missed some good races last year. Hopefully it'll be just as close up the front this season, the midfield pack behind Ferrari/McLaren are expected to be especially close this year.

Then welcome!

In 1st practice Raikkonen pwned everyone by 0.6 seconds. Wait until it gets into the last few minutes, then they really pick up pace!

I heard there wasn't much action in F1 hopefully ill see some close racing and a couple of overtakes with style. The track their in right now doesn't seem to have any good spots to overtake from what I see :S

ooo webber seems to be doing better then hamilton

And its a new time record for the session

I probably wont be here at the end of the practice
I'm sopose to be sleeping right now =/

O_O Lewis just drifted his F1 O_O!!!

There are a couple of decent passing places at Albert Park - end of the start/finish straight, sometimes braking for T3 or T6. It's usually an interesting race anyway because it's the first race of the season, so a couple of rookie drivers and a lot of brand new machinery that hasn't done a race before.
Hmm maybe T3/T6 but the end of the straight the turns a bit too fast :S

Anyways I better get to sleep if I wanna catch the start of the race

Have you noticed their pitcrew now look like gardeners?

hang on... gardeners + earth car... It's Gardeners World.
Massa was lucky to keep his rear wing there! Hehehe.

It seems the new regs have definitely made the cars twitchier - lots of very loose-looking cars over the kerbs.
This race just looking at the practise on tv will be a good one, and webbers up the top! hehe

Looks like Hamilton's not going to let him have it. Kimi will probably come out and smoke both of 'em anyway.

Edit: Damn, a second quicker.

Here comes Kimi's lap... Bit anti-climactic. Still, should be a fun quali sesh tomorrow.
Both Redbulls are in the top 5, i know its only practise but im seeing a trend here..

and Force india is just wow.

Damn F1.. pulls me in every time. I swore I was gonna walk away from F1 this year, after last year's complete and utter shambles of a season.. it's the sound of the engines, dammit.. gets me.
Yeah Red Bull look mighty. I'll be stoked if they leapfrog Renault and BMW. Maybe even a win or two for Webber?

Wish the Williams was looking a bit quicker but I say that every year.

People criticise Coulthard, but I think we're now seeing the fruits of his labour. I think Coulthard is key to their impending success, more on a techy-feedback level, but something about him makes me think his influence extends very deep into the Red Bull garage.
Thx for that link Deggis!, it was fun to watch
One thing is for certian, the midfield will be really exiting, i hope they catch up to the top 2, then we will have an awesome season!
