Is there any official Formula 1 song?
well Moby - Lift Me Up is the song in the UK opening titles, but I don't know if there is an 'official' song.
The Chain by Fleetwood Mac is the tune everyone remembers from the BBCs coverage as well.
There isn't an official song for F1, no. There is a small bit of music that's put to the "FIA Formula One World Championship" logo video that's shown before each race, but I don't know how you'd go about getting that (and it's only about 4 or 5 seconds long, anyway).
Yeah, there's that. Different broadcasters use different title music. It's not FOM's responsibility.
FOM produce the race itself and, before that, just shots of cars on installation laps/crowd shots. They produce the unilateral interviews as well (the guy that interviews the drivers is Peter Windsor, who is normally with the US broadcaster, SPEED). Not sure about after that. They also do the same deal for qualifing and free practice.
IIRC some countries (I think Canada is one) don't actually send anyone out, the commentary is done in a studio somewhere. ITV use the FOM feed in part (you can tell when it is as there is the F1 at the bottom) and their own stuff. Their own stuff is generally just Lewismainia apart from Martin Brundle's gridwalk.

The 'new one' isn't actually the intro bean, its the thingy they show a few minutes before the race start IIRC

I wish it was still shown on the BBC. You usually end up missing the best bits of the race because of adverts
I've never ever seen these official intros in German television. I just know the old one from Grand Prix 3...

Don't know. They are quite popular here in Germany (they call themselves "best band of the world
) but they only sing in German so I don't think they are known in Finland. they call themselves "best band of the world" (Die beste Band der Welt) but they totally suck after their stupid reunion. Noone needs a reunioning of bands
