idk if some of u guys went to Vegas before but i just want some opinions of what u guys think of how vegas is changing like new hotels and tearing down old ones for instance and etc.
I love vegas...
They have to tear down and rebuild those hotels every so often. the general rule of thumb there being that nice shiny new buildings attract more than older dated ones. Like the Luxor for example, when it finally starts to look dated and the theme has become stale, it will be cheaper and more profitable in the long term to tear it down and build new. Afterall, it's a little hard to go for a a I dunno a Polar theme with a big pryamid. It's also a very transient city. you don't see many people there that live there their whole lives. LOL in Vegas if you live there 2 months, you're considered a local. If you live there for 2 years, you're a native.
well my apologie....i didnt explain enough...my teacher wanted us(the class) to go and look for people of what their opinion is, on a certain topic only had 3 choices it was either on Las Vegas, Panda Bears(LOL), or vacuum cleaners(yes i know weird..say that to my teacher)
What the hell are you studying, peoples opinions and why they don't matter? A useful project might be to write up a report on the various ways Las Vegas has changed over the years, from a small town in the middle of the desert to the party capital of the world.
Well here is my opinion on Las Vegas...
Never been there, never want to go there, to me it represents everything that I don't like about America and it was built up by corrupt casino owners and the mafia. Its tacky, annoying and just copies everyone elses ideas, melts them down and pumps them out to the masses completely ruining the original in the process.
It is however a minor miracle that they can get enough water for the whole of Las Vegas in the middle of a desert We have floods across most of the country every year, but give up 3 days of hot weather and suddenly we are running out of water and have to stop washing our cars and watering our flowers. I guess they need to keep the strippers nice and wet for the punters or something.
This one is for your teacher, if I ever had sex with a pupil and gave them enough A grades so that they would want to marry me, I would go to Vegas.
LV is in Nevada, where you can marry your donkey, but not somebody of the same sex. When most of the rest of the world accepts gay marriage and Nevada is the drunken marriage capitol of the world, why cant gay people marry in Nevada?

I've heard that Las Vegas may be actually the centre of some kind of warp in the space-time continuum - a paradoxical, prime material plane-based planetary quantum singularity overlaying a pan-dimensional null-geodesic segment - for it seems that whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
ya....its kind of a pain to see how ugly Vegas is during the day...seems more like a night city and more nocternal lifestyle in the strip but theres a slim advantage of being in the strip in the daytime: you feel really kind of safe around and less trouble sometimes occur and also people my age as of course 15 are usually out with their parents(especially girls man u know they are hott LOL ) but yet again when im there im usually out late night with the family and some others to so theres difference what so ever(went a little off topic i think, sorry)
We stayed with friends in Vegas. They had a store in the Stratosphere that sold some sort of animal fur (alpaca?)
Roller coasters.... We went to Prim and rode the one they got there.
We were actually considering moving to Henderson.
Do you know where a bar is called Fat Cats? We used to hang out there with our friends.
@ms. Becky: The REAL reason we don't have Gay Marriage in the "Evil Homophobic States of Mericans", Is because we're too damn stupid to know what to do about gay divorce. Our courts are bogged down as it is, family courts and civil courts would explode with a nasty gay divorce. Especially if there's like a third party seeking child custody. Then there's the states with those outdated alimony laws. Could you imagine just putting homosexuals into that?
It's nice to think it's all religious wackos that have suppressed feelings about their own sexual disorientation and blinding people with self righteous moral hypocrisy that's causing this goofy dilema, but really it's all about the benjamins. Oh wow, and lets not forget things like wic, Food Stamps and AFDC...social security benefits.
And then there's my favorite... insurance companies. At the very least, insurance companies will raise their rates across the board
if that happens. Why? I dunno why. they just will.
