MotoX Simulator
Hey guys, i thought the LFS crowd might be interested in this little game. http://mxsimulator.com/ Download link's on the webpage.

Heres some of the features from the webpage:
  • Complete motorcycle physics model. Steering, suspension, clutch, transmission and power curve work just like a real bike.
  • 8 different bikes based on real life dyno, gear ratio and weight information.
  • Intelligent computer riders. The computer riders in this game do not cheat. They obey the same physical rules and use the same exact bike as the player does.
  • Physically modeled engine noise for both 2 smokes and thumpers.
  • 12 event points series with novice, amateur and expert classes. Realistic tracks including Budds Creek and RedBud replicas.
  • Flexible race format. Motos can be time or lap based.
  • Up to 40 riders. Run a full gate if your computer is fast enough! (A 2 GHz CPU will handle 10 riders smoothly, a 1 GHz CPU will handle 3.)
  • No monster trucks.
The demo only has 3 tracks but you can download more. I think its just a one man team that made this. No multiplayer yet but i think that is next on the list.
It almost seems like an early version of LFS but for dirt bikes. Its not easy to master either.
Anyhoo enjoy and post your thoughts/impressions.
Look's and sounds horrible tbh
That looks like some fun - I should check it out whenever I get back home although I suspect it'll fall short where all motorbike games fall short (even though it's not exactly their fault): the controller.
I chuckled when I heard the sounds.
It is 8 euro's cheaper than S2, go figure.
only 35.4mb so its worth a download, but if you want a good MX game, get MX vs ATV. its had 3 releases so far, the original MX unleashed, then MX vs ATV unleased and the newest 1 is MX vs ATV untamed, great game good physics, if you like dirt bike games then you should get it.
Heres a trailer, and heres another gameplay vid.
and Heres the website.

That brought back memories.. of trying to impress the girls with sweaty pocket farts in gym class!

It does look and sound dreadful, but if it's intent on modelling all of the things we care about as realistically as possible, I should imagine it'll carry quite a bit of appeal for a lot of LFSers
MX vs ATV Untamed is really really let down by poorly looped sound samples for current gen games. It's a shame really because graphically it looks good and gameplay ain't to bad.
I love that game. The Physics(sp?) are amazing!!
Bump!

This Game is like the LFS of Motocross games/sims. I wish I had found it sooner! And the community still seems to be alive. There is one hell-of-a learning curve to to ride to play this sim, but it is so satisfying when you get it right. Just like LFS the demo is unlimited.

Been playing it for a little, absolutely addicted.
Gave it a try, so far best physics in any MX game easily.
40 bikes for 24 hours? Possibru?
I dunno. Are you going to make it a contest to see how many crashes you can make in 24 hours?

It would be a different game if forks bent and levers snapped when you crash. I've tried this before and it's good fun, as you say, but whilst it should be difficult to go quickly, I don't think it should be so hard to simply ride the bike and keep it upright. I think the traction/grip model isn't great either.
Glad to have spread the disease a little

@sinbad

There are many stability options that make the bike much easier to control; however it takes quite some time to figure it all out. I do agree they need to implement a damage model, but I am having too much fun messing around anyway, I wouldn't have much fun if I had to reset the race or something every time I crashed, and I do crash a lot!

Edit: TAB changes to 3rd person. Crashing is very comical the way the rider just hangs on and flaps around.
Trying to get this to run on Windows 7 since the bump. I get a black screen on both monitors and no hard drive activity and have to do a hard reset. Windows XP SP3 mode and Admin does not change a thing. I didn't find anything in their forum when I searched. Any help would be appreciated.
I actually gave it a go because of this bump, but I haven't encountered any issues while running it. Sorry Cheerio. I am running Win7 Starter by the way.
I am also using Windows 7 (professional) maybe the download or installation got corrupted. I've also not had any issues yet.

A terrible attempt at playing (there is a really good high-side at the end).

Not the best graphics and sounds, but damn it's addicting...
Honestly some of the most challenging fun I've had. I'm pretty stable while the wheels are on the ground (arcade off obviously), but I need to get more in control of the bike when it leaves the ground. For small hills and jumps its okay, but the tall lips are killing me.
For some reason it's not letting me to install the game itself. Doesn't allow me to click on the damn ''Next'' button, not sure why...
EDIT: Fixed.
@PMD

If you set the roll limit to 33, and the roll limit factor to 12, you can get some pretty good stability. Though it's not good for supercross. I still have no idea how to keep the bike right side up with the setups I got on their forum.
