I'm with Anathema there, that green sheet is simply a scan of a plastic model decal sheet. The faint light edges round each decal/part gives that away straight away, aswell as the black line at the top which was probably the manufacturer of the original decal sheet (e.g Tamiya).

The person who created the RACER model could well have mapped his model to suit that sheet.

Either way, them lights are ugly. Slap on lights look poo on skins. And before you jump on the bandwagon, I have used them on some skins and the outcome is neither brilliant or completely shit.

If the XRT was meant to have lights that looked like Silvia/Skyline/<insert car here> lights, don't you think it would have those lights? It would, but it doesn't. It has popup lights which are closed. One day we will get functioning popup lights, but until then, slap-ons look rubbish, and always will do.

But they didn't ripped off. They asked if they could use this design. This is called respect. Maybe a word you havn't heard so much. Maybe you'll see now what you can reach with serious skinning and not with parts ripping.

Same forum I found them at . Anyways, they're RC decal sheets, someone might have used them in racer also. Also db could have gotten permission to use them from someone at that forum, unless the scale models manufacture made them. db kept them private to avoid copyright issues, and also, to keep them exclusive probably. I'm sure you would do the same if you made great looking skins with lights no one else had in lfs. You should have kept the template to yourself , but now we will probably see this on many drifters cars >.<

I personally prefer everyone to be able to use it, driving around and seeing my product on somebodies car would really make my day.

Not really yours tho, thats why I would have kept them exclusive. Unless you got permission, but I'm pretty sure you didn't .

Actually he said they dont have the copyright for these, so I dont think he ever said they didn't steal these, and he even posted the link to where he got them from a few posts up . As for why they dont want everyone else using them, its something with copyright issues, and I won't try explaining as I dont know that all the facts or anything.

I know I took these, however, the main reason I released this as public is exactly because so many people got yelled at for using the same set, while they shouldn't themselves. So sorry for the aggression here, but if you're going to yell at somebody for using lights that were claimed to be private for certain people, and you don't own them... it just doesn't make sense to me. Thank you for finally being able to carry a discussion, unlike another person.
