I can barely go 20mins without LFS crashing for some reason. event viewer shows the following:

Faulting application lfs.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module lfs.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000ed47a.


Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? it doesn't seem to happen at any particular time or instance, it just randomly crashes.

Are you using a newer test patch or Patch Y?

A fresh install of patch Y. I went from U to Y having been absent from LFS for a while and never had these issues with U.

just crashed again, this time:

Delete what you have and download the full from the lfs website..try that?

yup tried 2 fresh re-installs. still keeps restarting.

I guess your SOL...Maby you need to clean your PC out? Run virus scans, spyware scans and defrag your PC..

heat issues? The demands of LFS jumped on the last few patches due to GFX changes in BL and SO.

Since it's a Patch Y issue, I'm going to move the thread to the Bugs - Program section. That's the section that Scawen (LFS programmer) is most likely to spot this thread .
