you can make them coal black... but you wouldn't be able to see the lights "light up".

Its possible to have smoked taillights and still retain some light showing through.

Open the interior.dds, and apply a black box over the lights, then make the boxes opacity to about 70%, or 50% if your working with smaller lights.

I now how to do joust save carbon as a lamp i did it but i don have the file any more
