Smoke..
I have a huge problem with the smoke feature in this game..
1. is that for this to be a simulator, smoke doesnt just flow from the tires in real life after getting hot.
2. taht once u have heated ur tires up to actually smoke, u spin out way too easy like that, not in real life im afraid.

And just like my other posts ill say that i dont believe anything i spew out from my mouth has any direct effect on any thing.
becaue after all, the only updates i have gotten have been from ppl playing lfs, not the ppl who made s2 ALPHA y in 2007 or 2006.
SEARCH!

It's been said 132325 times already!!!!

excuse me.
search what?? this is an improvement thread right? i think that the proportionalism/realism of the smoke should be determined by ur right foot not hot tires.

im not talking about some crappy smoke mod. im talking about simulated accuracy

please come at me calmer and more respectfully than typing in bold size 18 font and telling me to search stuff

He wasn't talking about how the smoke looks - just the factors that induce smoke.

Sigh

He means search the forum. Do you believe you are the first to raise smoke.

I hit the new post button and typed in a title of Smoke. It displayed a list of related threads and asked me to check if they already covered what my topic title was about.

Guess what, they were all on the subject of smoke in LFS, how to improve it etc etc etc.

But you decided to ignore that and just post in the belief you were the first to thing the smoke needs some improvement in LFS?

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=4231 This link for example talks about how the production of the smoke is wrong once you skip over the initial flame posts.

well im so sorry that because someone else said "smoke" no one can ever say that word again. =)
You can say it all you want. But please do it in that thread instead of starting a new one.

I still think that people who have been members for less then two years shouldn't be able to start new topics.

gotcha.

That sounds like elitism to me. Not all new forum members are "newbies" or "rice boys". But still, I understand your point.

+1 to that
Quote from March Hare :Did you check my join date?

Nope, missed that. I tought you were much older member. You make a good example: There are potential "newcomers" also, thus prooving my point right.
I just seem like a grown up person. I'm really an obnoxious little brat.

But categorising just by join date is not really fair. Maybe the mods should be able to deny members the right to start new topics.

That would be much better solution. It would be silly to prevent newcomers to report bugs, ask questions (Beginners-section, for example) or suggest something (Assuming it hasn't been suggested before).

Edit: Back to topic. What about fumes from exhaust pipes?
