I've just been scanning the net and it seems as though they were off to France to take part in a race. So even till the end they were doing what they both loved.

And it seems as though David Leslie was regarded as one of the nicest guys in motorsport too.

i was really gutted when i heard about this, david leslie was one of my heroes, and i also have a nissan poster in my bedroom personally signed by him when he came to my town to show off the nissan primera 1995 or '96 i think.

Yet another loss of a great driver, this kind of news seems to be happening all to often nowadays.

Its really unusual that he was a BTCC Legend and he died on the 50th Anniversary, He was a Nice Man and will be sadly missed,
As i was coming back from Brands hatch and saw some smoke, As the road was closed We Checked and asked police officer what the problem was and he said that it was a aeroplane what crashed in one of the houses and He Didnt know who was in the plane,About 4 hours later It was Confirmed that it was David Leslie.

When I first heard about the plane crash none of the bodies were identified. Second time they said only something about "a British race car driver". There were still three unidentified passengers, are they known by now?
