Demo servers
Having just tried a demo server I managed to get banned within about 3 minutes (the first time I've been voted off an LFS race) I'm not quite sure why I was banned whether it was my request that people would stop banning and restarting the race or whether it was because I could actually drive the car and not loose control in a straight line.

Maybe if the ban/diconnect options were only avaliable to S2 licensed racers in demo servers, it would cut this stupid banning game they seem to play atm. they are a total disgrace to LFS and really send out the wrong image

But then, you wouldn't be able to ban wreckers...

It's a difficult balance but possibly you could make something like only a licensed memebr can vote to ban someone whose doing laptimes faster than time X, wouldn't stop bad driving but it would stop the worst wreckers. Try connecting to a demo server and you'll find it's just a ban fest with people constantly being voted out apart from that the only case of really bad driving I found were some noobs who kept spinning out in the XRT.
Been spending the majority of my time the past week in the demo servers. Haven't seen one ban yet, though I did see one that needed banned. Unfortunately, no admin was present at the time and the server didn't have the option to vote on. Another point in time on the CRC server, almost the entire group of connections needed banned. I came back in an hour and an admin showed up and it was clean racing for the rest of the night. Of course, this is US evening time and there aren't many racing. It stays much cleaner that way.
