Not super good, not super bad. But in games like TDU, it runs perfectly at 35-45 FPS.

And, of course, the G25

LFS will run at anything between 70-200 FPS at 1680x1050 with 4xAA, but I use vsync to keep a rock steady 60FPS.
Dell Vostro 1500

Mind taking a screenshot at that res in LFS? Thats a massive resolution for a 19" screen!
Yeah, I want to know what you mean too. At first I thought you had two 19" monitors, but that still doesn't explain the vertical 1536 resolution you are running at. Explanation?!?!
But why do you need such a high resolution. Isn't that overkill? I know you can get high resolutions with CRT displays but that just seems to be a bit more than necessary - even if you are a high-res freak.
Quote from mcintyrej :Mind taking a screenshot at that res in LFS? Thats a massive resolution for a 19" screen!

The cockpit picture in your photobucket shows 32.7 FPS instead of 60. Getting constantly 60 FPS at a resolution of 2048x1536 isn´t possible with a 7950 GT. Your CPU should struggle within a full grid.

For comparison, should you someone decide to argue this point, my 6800GT drops to 30-35 FPS at some points running at 2560x1024. Granted it's a slower card, but it's also running 20% less pixels than yours. And I've only got to 60 FPS at just a few spots. Still more than playable though.
I don't see how that system can hold 60 frames with those settings.

Finally getting a new card, my PNY 8600GTOC is for sale, I'm gonna grab a 8800GT Overclocked Edition, then I'm done with upgrades for a while. Although I was thinking of picking up a couple raptors, for windows, and games, and leave my barracuda for mass storage.. Man PC's can be so addictive and expensive!

And..

Are those really the best scores? Seems really bad, I could nearly take first place I think. Maybe not many people have submitted... I know there's plenty here that can top those numbers, unlocked I avg in the 120-130's typical racing, only a couple AI, 8 or 10 at most, 1680x1050 16xAF-4XAA. We should do this benchmark, I think I will if I get bored later tonight.
Edit: Just read it over a bit, seems like a hassle, but I should, there's no limit on the settings and they want 1024x768 res used(for compatibilty for everyone)!!!! Hah, I think there's a few of us who could easily break 200fps in that res, with 8xAA and 16xAF, I think someone with a killer system (quad extreme & SLI) should do it!
Yeah, those are the best scores out there. TBH, a LOT of people claim 60+, 100+, 120+ constant FPS, but with heavy multiplayer, or even just a few AI, those numbers just aren't true. That said, AI seems much heavier a drag on systems than multiplayer though.
Hmm, I just went onto the Oval, with the XRT, and the frame rate was steady at like 198 in the pit lane, out on the track it sat right around 180. No AI cars, all maxed. Yeah, seems like the power users haven't been posting on there.
No, they have, look at the pc specs.

XRT + Oval = low polys.

The benchmark is at max quality, on BL1, FBM, with 8 AI drivers.

The whole process takes about 20minutes. Download it and try it.

Edit - My system runs capped at 60fps for 1680x1050, max quality, 8x/16x AA/AF, 90% of the time. But through the benchmark it even drops down into the low 50's.
Hi, i am not new, i know.... i know i am Demo but in two weeks i gone a have money for a PC rig and the LFS S2 i want to buy a PC when i see perfect the lfs... i was thinking a M2N, 4000 AMD processor, 2gb ram 800mhz corsair, and a XFX 8600 xxx..... Is good set for LFS??? i want play the maximum of resolution and no lags....

To all the people who don't believe me:I get constant 60 FPS almost everytime on a track.I'm drifting so i'm not with 20 other racers. Some exceptions:when near a lot of racers & on a layout(drop to arround 30 on a layout). My CRT monitor support 2048x1536 & using it only in LFS because when I use it in other games my CPU can't handle it.I attached a full sized 2048x1536 with everything maxed out in the Nvidia control pannel.Pretty good resolution considering my monitor is like 5 years old(if not more).7950GT is a pretty good card too.

EDIT: My picture got resized to 1024x768....can't upload 2048x1536 on photobucket I guess.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of people who post here seem to have the same setup. Then have these ridiculously spec'd computers, but then they have things like 2*74 Gb HDD... wtf?! I would expect people who built their own computer, especially computers with those kinds of parts, to require more than that much space for all that they did on it. It's just ODD.

Maybe some people don't have massive collections of music, video's or pictures and use their computers for gaming? Not everyone needs 200GB for games.

Also, those are 2 Raptors in RAID 0. Those drivers aren't cheap at all, two of them will cost about as much as a 500gb HDD if not more. Its a gaming computer, so the fastest drives in the world count.

Those H/D's are the 10000rpm raptors, very, very fast and probably running in RAID. They could be just running the OS on them and other vital stuff, then use a bigger H/D for everything else.

I have a 40gb H/D just for XP and a 250gb H/D where I instal everything else. That way XP stays as fast and as clean as the day it was installed.
