Quote from SamH :hehe.. for me, clocks always seemed to say 10:08. In all the magazines and everything (I was addicted to buying digital watches ), the watches always were always at 10:08. I think it's an aesthetically pleasing number.

Hehe.. lol :P

10.08 actually has a reason.

If you set a analog clock or watch to that time, both hour and minute "arms" point diagonal upwards, which (with some imagination) look like the "mouth" of a smiley > which is "happy". So it's supposed to give the 'buyer' a 'happy feeling' and is supposed to "persuade" them buy a clock / watch.

At least.. that's what I've been told.

btw.. i have the same thing with xx:45.. had it 3 times this evening :s
All Nokia dummy Phones display 10:08. However all Samsungs have 11:30. Interesting, isn't it?

For some reason, back in primary school, whenever I looked at the clock in the early morning, it'd show 9:38 am.

Ahh, the good old days of primary school
Which just goes to prove that Man _DOES_ have a fixation with digital watches!

btw, every time I look at a clock it reads 42 ... Now THAT has a meaning!!!

I am the same but I think it's simply because I can usually geuss the time within a minute or 2 of accuracy (and i'd imagine most people can) when i'm at School, and so you tend to "check the time" at certain times
To me this is one of those theories that is just a coincidence, sorta like how more awkard silences happen within 5 minutes of 20 minutes to the hour or 20 minutes from the hour.
lmao this thread made me look at the time and it was 21:21
