How am I driving?
Bought a new pc, and now I am able to do bigger races (With the older one biggest race I did was about 8 cars).
Also 22" widescreen is making racing more enjoyable, as I can see decent amount of track without pressing view-buttons (Still have to use them, of course, but not so often).

How am I driving?
(Had to put it somewhere else, as the file is WAY too big)

I know, locking tyres too many times and start to brake too soon etc. But that's not the point I wanted you to see this replay. Instead, I would like to know if I am "gentleman" enough to join online races (Haven't raced on S2-servers. Tested once, and I was too "afraid" to drive fast enough, so I went to pits after couple of laps and retired). I know there are couple of bumps, but some were because of AI (AI is little bit unpredictable, but human competitor is even more unpredictable).

Other thing is that I can drive about 7-8 laps in SO5 until tyres are too warm. I have optimized camber and tyre pressures to my racing line. What more can I do to increase distance I can drive with one set of tyres (Besides skills)?

Also, I noticed that on some places my tyres are not touching the track (After T1, for example). Tried to adjust spring stiffness, but was unable to remove the problem. How can I set it so tyres are touching the ground more?

Any more suggestions to my setup or my driving behaviour? I would like to improve myself before I join online races.
I didn't watch the whole replay but if you ask me your driving is perfecty fine. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't go online. You actually were a bit too cautious in some corners there, especially in the first lap.

I'd say you already are probably better than more than 50% of drivers on public servers.

And the FXO tyres do get hot VERY fast so you are not the only one with that problem.

Yes, I drive slowly the first lap. Cold tyres + CQB-situations = crash. If there is chance of collision, I always "chicken" and start to do counter-maneuvers (For example, if I try to overtake on that first turn after pit exit from inside-curve and notice that it is too tight spot, I brake and let the other go first).

Good to know that others also have problems with FXO tyre temperatures. On advanced setup guide bob said that road super tyres lasts as long as full tank of fuel, so I was started to wonder am I that un-economical driver... It still sounds odd that I'll have to pit every 8 laps (For example, if the race is 24 hourse, it would mean lots of pit stops...)

with the tyres, they may get hot, but as they wear down again they cool off. so as long as you can get the car handling ok on hot tyres you can last a whole tank

Road_Normals maybe, but Supers on the FXO will cook with ease - it's happened to me enough in the STCC.

A setup tip for the FXO - Tyre Temps define the car, but making sure that the car is a little "loose" - I can't define what I mean but I always aimed to make the tyres stay perfectly green during the STCC races to give optimal grip, but I found that letting the rears run a little colder (ie with a little less grip) makes the car drive much better and feel more agile and less under-steery. Probably common sense but it really helped me.
You will do great
Hi M8

If you are thinking about your fellow competitors this much already you are definitly ready to race online. If you are friendly and curteous thats all you need to start. All the rest will follow.

Hope to see you soon on the servers
If you find yourself enjoying to race online, I'd recommend trying out the CTRA servers after a while. The Race 1 server is quite crowded, and it can be frustrating at times, but it's very rewarding. Once you get your Silver licence a whole new world of clean, fast racing opens up.

Looks good. Just go online and be a bit more courageous.

The problem with your fronts might be caused by the way you enter the corners. When you notice the understeer you just turn your wheel more. This makes you scrub the tires more and induce even more heat. You should rather try and use some weight transfer to gain the grip on your front tires. A bit like throwing your car around a corner. Maybe you could tweak your antiroll bars as well to make the car more oversteery when entering corners. This may make it a little trickier to drive but is good for your tires.

When racing online you can lurk how the others set their cambers and how they cope with problems like this. So it's better for your progress as a racer to get online and learn from others. Their acts on the tracks tell you more than their words on the forums.
