(request) Hoosier tire sidewalls
Well, as the title says

I would like some Hoosier tire sidewalls to go with the BRL skins i'm working on.

(little pic of how the real thing [tires] looks like)
Quote from LFSn00b :How high resolution do you want them?

I have no real preference actually.. don't know what's considered hi or low res when it comes to (tire sidewall)textures. But overall hi res would look best i guess.. I'll leave it up to you.. what's easier or better or whatever to do
Any new on them yet?
Looks ok, but the purple edge around the letters look a bit bad

Anyway, thanks a lot for your effort!
btw.. would it be possible for someone to post the (original) dds file (LOGOALPHA.dds) converted to something photoshop can handle? (i have a program to convert to dds, but not from dds to something else..)

Thanks!
Well, after many hours of searching, trying and what not.. I finally got it to work

The thing i discovered -you guys probably already know this- is that you should export a .dds file to .pgn so the transparency isn't lost (.jpg doesn't support transparency). And then export the .png to .dds again to make it work in LFS

So after some hours of trying and stuff I finally was able to create Hoosier tire sidewalls and get them to work too. It's not the best quality ever, but it looks fine to me

Preview and LOGOALPHA.dds included for everyone who wants Hoosier sidewalls (i put them instead of Cromo).

Enjoy!

Just a FWIW.. my guess is you originally tried to save the DDS file without the correct data (missing alpha channel / possibly wrong DX# mode etc). The DDS settings can be somewhat overwhelming if you're not used to them

I've never had a problem saving directly as DDS for LFS or anything else.. but depending on the results will depend on what DX# mode you'll require... something to search the net about if you're interested in more details (too much to go into here and I'm no expert ).

Ian
Hmm.. actually i didn't had a clue of what i was doing and still don't actually, just noticed somewere the program i used said "DX5" or something, so i exported the .png files back with the "DX5" thingy and i workes fine in LFS

Only downside now is that my desktop is cluttered with LOGOALPHA file's, all different versions or failed attempts :P *goes to clean the mess up*
