Whilst racing, usually online, my computer frequently (every 5 mins) decides to cut out of LFS and return to the desktop, but LFS remains running and I am still online in the server. I have no other programs running in the background and the computer doesn't appear to be doing any other task. Could anyone tell me whats going on?

My spec is:
P4 - 2.4Ghz
1024MB RAM
GeForce 4200Ti

sounds like something is stealing window focus

you should think to stop :

- your instant messenger
- stop the net send server (net stop messenger)
- close your mail client
- disable the messages from all auto-updates (like Windows, firewall and antivirus)

Something pop ups and takes priority on your main application.

Thanks for your replies, I have tried to disable any programs that have some kind of auto update, but the problem persists. However, on some ocassions I do see a small yellow triange with an exclamation mark inside it, this is at the bottom right hand corner by the date/time, and it says that I am low on virtual memory. Could this be anything to do with it, or is it just windows update?
