Is there room for yet another league?
Just a thought I had in my mind today. Are there too many leagues/events already? Does they have problems to get enough racers (Is it because it is in a wrong track and uses the wrong car?)?

Don't know why, but I was thinking of making a new league. Yes, I know, it takes lots of work and dedication (And others to help me. Can't do everything alone). Nothing would be more annoying toward the racers than a league that dies half-way the season.

Any suggestions? Or should I stop planning this even before I evem start?
There's always room for another league. If you want interest for your league, you want something new and exciting. Whether its a whole new concept that nobody has ever thought about, or simply some unusual, interesting or popular/enjoyable combos.

There's not usually a problem getting enough racers, Its just making sure those racers turn up which is the trickier bit
Not sure about the content yet. Of course a safety car and more flags than just blue and yellow, but can't think of anything unique enough.

Luckily, I don't have to hurry about this. I have time to think and plan (And after planning, re-think).
You seem to be a guy that thinks... Some people come on here sayin 'New League, Join its fun !!' But you seem to be planning well and think properly about things. If you do this i think your league could be a success.
Make a league where half of the field races backwards At the start of the race, the safety car will arrange the field into 2 separate grids facing each other.

hmmm.. this is a great idea... lol.
...What would be most wanted one-seater? I was planning to make Formula V8 league, because it requires some skills to keep the front of the vehicle in the right direction. However, if I understood correctly, there aren't many MRT leagues, so that might be welcome addition...
I would advise against going for the FO8. A new league has recently started up using the FO8, called LFSCART. If we have several FO8 leagues running at similar times it could get a bit 'samey'
if you see what I mean.

The MRT would be better
There is also GFC. What about restricted UFR and XFR league?
If it's an MRT league and if the times suit me, then I'm definately in.

We'd need to improve the balancing of the XF-JR (© J@tko and JO53PHS 2008) .

The balancing isn't exactly up to scratch, the XFJR is about 2 seconds a lap faster than the UF-BabyR
Maybe I should start to think about MRT-cup, then. MRT's aren't my cup of tea, but then again: I'm not playing if I am the coordinator/organizer/marshal/safety car driver (Hmm... Do we really need that on MRT-race?)
Just a thought... What about "layout league", where competitors try to finish the layout as fast as possible (Only one driver on a track). The layout is changing every week, and competitors can practice the layout before the actual event.

Does it sound too boring, as there are no overtakings?
Time trials would be a bit boring, as it is just hotlapping really.

True. Maybe racing is more exciting to the competitors. What would be good tracks for MRT? SO3 and AS1, but what else?

Why restrict them? So annoying to do that. (IMO of course)

^ He has a point.

I can think of GTR/Single Seater/Tintop leagues, but no XFR/UFR leagues spring to mind.

Could be a hole in the market there to be filled

He does have a point, but why restrict them?

I meant you had a point.

Probably shouldn't have used the ^ as well as quoting
Restrict them because they have a ton of grip when restricted and it makes very tight racing.
I'm gonna try and nag J@tko to do some testing with me sometime soon so we can improve the balancing of the XF-JR
^ Thanks alot Joe. Not that I have exams this summer or anything.....

Basically, we're going to have to use some weight to balance them. Ideally, I'd like to weigh down the UFR to make it slower, but as it's an 'agreed spec', I can't

So we'll be adding weight to the XFR.
I was thinking more about simply trying them both with 45% restriction.
Minor bump.

I started to like LX-cars on fernbay. Don't know why, but I would like to have both LX-4 and LX-6 on the same race. What would be good restrictions/added mass for LX-6 so they would be equal? Or is there any point to have them both on the race (Because LX-4 is "restricted" version of LX-6? I don't know, I am not experienced in LFS).

Be smart with your foot and they still have that same amount of grip and the ability to go faster . . .

I don't know a good ballast or intake restriction but there is always the route of running two sub-classes in your league, LX4s and LX6s are pretty similar on some combos though.
