Interesting indeed. It may give GT5 the freedom to step up the realism.... however I am not sure my PC would cope!

After I saw this movie:http://www.gametrailers.com/player/33054.html, I have to say it looks impressive, but the physics are . So maybe they will borrow them from LFS.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm watching a GT5 video or simply a real life video.These graphics are so beautiful.I don't think LFS devs would sell the LFS physic engine to sony(almost impossible unless we're in the BIG numbers).Anyway if GT5 get out on PC people will need high-end PC to play it I think.

Do you really think PD wants to improve physics? I doubt it, the've got the franchise that brings them money, thats what they need. IF they really wanted to improve physics, they could, not like they have hardware limitations like GT4 had with PS2.

On a console based simulation the developers are limited to what they can do regarding physics due to the market demands. On a PC a develop is giviing the freedom to express themselves more.

Let's face it... if GT was a PC based sim it wouldn't last 5 minutes in it's current form. It would be COMPLETELY destroyed! they would have to improve the physics IMO. I think they are targeting the Chinese market which is interesting however. it's a long way off anyway!

IIRC, The owner of GT (i cant remember his name) said back during the prodcution of GT4 on PS2, that he personally wants to create it much more realistic with damage for GT4, where the cars can flip, aswell as get thrashed being able to do dounuts (not that you would want to, but IRL you can, so....) but Polyphony Digital wouldnt allow it as it wouldnt sell as much being more realistic and showing damage to company cars.

You just need a friend who owns a PS3, cos its really car porn, you only need to have a coupe hours of it per week to jack yourself off. GT5 is great as a fantasy but playing too much you'll just get used to it.

I know the physicvs in comparison to lfs ore Rfactor are not realy any big but if this comes out on pc i WILL buy if my pc can keep up with thse mindblowing graphics

I would just set the car on stand stil snd enjoy every single detail of the car and landscape

I don't think any console game as mainstream as the GT series will ever have half-decent physics, as they will alienate the 80% of people who play it on a pad with the analogue sticks. It's only niche games like LFS that can be coded so that you really need a wheel to play, as it's not no much aimed at casual gamers that won't want to buy extra hardware.

Don't get so excited yet. It's not coming for PC anytime soon. If not at all. I'm surprised about that Kazunori even says that but he is well known to say lots of things that never materialized... starting from "GT2 will have damage".

yes yes, but if i get used to that game's carporn i can buy another game. i dont have any friends with ps3. all i should do is break into their house and replace their ps3 with my old xbox and nobody sees the differense but nobody haves the ps3 in here. need sart a career in macigan, i can make some macig and i get moneys for it

Am I the only one who thinks GT5's physics would stand up well on PC?

They're better than rFactor/GTR/RACE simply because you can actually control oversteer and you're not driving on ice. Anyone who's played GT5P on Pro (or on Pro with a DFP) will know that it's actually quite good.

Sure, it'd get beaten by NR2003, netKar Pro (I guess, never played this one) or LFS physics-wise, but you'd all still buy it because it's the only decent game with real cars

Im just curouis, but why does GT5 always look alot better on adverts and trailers? I borrowed prologue off a freind, and was dissapointed at how rough the graphics were. It looks as if its using no AA. And this is'nt down to my tv. Its HD, and everything was setup to run on 1080i, so its not a setting proble,. It even looked rough on my mates TV, and a GT5 stand at currys ! Im not saying it looks crap, the textures look amazing, but it always look rough around every edge.

have you guys tried a recent version of rfactor with cars made using carfactory that support realfeel? the some of the cars are much more believable than past rfactor mods.

All I can say is that Bill Gates better start building a supercomputer because no one is every going to be ble to run GT5 on a computer with max graphics.

yeah, its easier to optimize a game when everyone has the same hardware like on console, but for pc, people have different types of systems.

Because the footage in the ads isn't rendered in real-time. The first time I played GT5, I was surprised that the framerate wasn't as good and there wasn't as much AA as in the trailers.
