I've been watching Wangan Midnight. After the first 6 episodes I'm sad to say but it isn't that great.

Nice animation. Extremely beautiful car (the Fairlady Z). But unlike Initial D it doesn't make me want to get out and drive my car. Neither in real life nor in LfS. Even now if I watch an episode of Initial D I immediately want to fire up LfS and go race. With Wangan it just isn't there. It did make me want to do an overhaul to my engine but that's not the same.

Still I'm truly hoping it'll get better when I see more of it.

It's not really that bad. It's just that Initial D is so good.

When they race in Initial D there are corners and it's about the drivers ability and all. In Wangan Midnight they just speed on a freeway. It's all about who's got the fastest car.

just speed is not my cup of thee to so il avoid it

But for initial D its great anime i simply lover every stage after the 2nd stage

Yeah, i only watched like 2eps of wangan... it was so boring i fell asleep ... Initial D just gets you pumped up.. grrr i wish i hadnt seen initial D yet so I could watch it again xD

I have and I love it (with the exception of the 1st 3 episodes). It is probably my favorite anime to date. I don't think it's crazy, I think its fun and smart. On the other hand, Azumanga Daioh is crazy.

I've been watching Code Geass R2. Unfortunately, it isn't better than the 1st series yet.
