Little question [GFX temperatures]
Hi, on my pc i have a Sapphire ATI X1950XT 265 MB..
and sometimes when i play Battlefield 2 or Crysis, then i watch the temperature of the card, and then its around 80-90 degrees celcius.
my question is: "is this normall for this card, or is this really hot?"

Thanks, bose
Im not sure what a normal temp would be on that card, but that seems very hot! Are these the temps you get at idle too, or only at full load?
Under full load you're apparently looking at hitting the 80's, so if you were stressing the PC graphically, I'd say thats about normal.
Depending on the card, that can be a normal temperature, especially if it only has the stock cooler. It is, however, really on the upper limit of acceptable temperatures. Before I installed a custom cooler, my 6600GT would easily reach 90°C+, at which point it also started crapping itself with vertex corruption and texture errors. A bit higher than that and it can be permanently broken.

If your card stays in the 80-85°C range it's probably not going to die a quick death, but it's lifespan might be reduced compared to properly cooled cards.
Ye it always stays at 80-90 with really big games.
and then you hear it make more noise to cool.. so
And it already goes to 80 after like 5 minutes, but i never seen it higher then 90, but when i alt tab, after like 2 seconds the temperature already goes to 50-70..
i have the stock cooler on it.
Can't remember where I've read that but, the limit for X1950 is 100c .... so don't worry!
So I would say not to worry about it if your computer is not symptomatic, don't worry about it.
(Treat the patient, not the monitor.)
Apparently ATI cards of that generation are known to generate a lot of heat. Just google around and you'll see dozens of people asking the same question.
