And I still can't find out how to turn off that beep noise that happens each time someone types in a message during a race, It's really distracting. Could someone please be so kind and tell me how to turn it off.

to block messages

Delete message.raw from your LFS folder (in snd I think). Also, sys_message.raw is for the other beeps when people leave the pits or join.

I deleted the message and sys_message files and copied/renamed the one for menu clicks so I still have audible acknowledgement of messages. It is just a soft click now for me.

Could do a bit of thinking yourself. Make a folder called backup in the snd directory. Then MOVE all the raw files there. Has the beep gone? If so, copy some back and test again. Eventually you'll find out which one to get rid of.

The other option is just to use Media Player or Winamp in the background. Or not listen to music whilst driving, as it will only distract you and reduce your ability to race well.

I deleted those files in S1 but in S2 I just opened them up in a sound editor and reduced the overall volume then resaved them, so now there not too obtrusive

Also messed around with amplitude of sound on some of the skid sounds to get better sound feedback as I don't have FFB
