i bought a wingman joystick on ebay without a power supply, so i used the one on my DFP (same thing) and i plug it in and try out FFshifter and for some reason my FF doesnt work at all and the power supply will start making a high pitched sound

the power supply works fine on my DFP, and its the same model and everything, could i have a bad joystick? is there any way to fix it that most people have had problems on?
