I've a question, I'm putting up a new website and I'm using mambo. Now I'm in the installation procedure and I'm being asked at my "MySQL databese". Now, what on earth is that ? How do I make one ?
Think those 2 questions are most important to go on. Any can help me out ?

You don't know what a mysql database is and you want to use mambo...well have fun.
Mambo is a really complex content management system, maybe you should start with learning something about php and css (i think mambo use boths).

Well don't worry, I know how to work with site's, change them, upload,........ Just this MySQL thing was new to me But hey, never too late to learn ! Just as all those other things I don't know..YET !

Probably your webspace is on a linux server, your host has root right, so your host can install the SQL database package. If you don't have a SQL DB you are probably using a really cheap supplier and you won't get a SQL DB. You need webspace with a SQL Database and php support.
There is another way to test mambo, install it on your computer. Then you could make the layout offline and upload it later, when you got webspace with sql and php. For that you have to install and configure apache, sql and php on your computer.
I never tryed that http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html but it should work.

Oh wait, I made a MySQL database now (took stuff in own hands ).
But if I continue the mambo registration it gives an error: "can't show with XML, with a SML.. Installation aborted"

How to change that ?
