Replay control
Hi

I know that when S2 released, one of the developer said that there would be no replay control

but he said no rewind, what about a "jump back" like in a youtube video, you can press PLAY, PAUSE and click anywhere to jump back or forward in the video at any moment

would be really useful for movie and picture, because it's kind of hard to catch the right moment and if you miss it you need to watch the whole replay again

thanks

This ol' chesnut again?

Please use the search facility. It'll become obvious as to why this is no simpler to implement than a rewind feature.

The Search Feature(tm)... an amazing tool!

most of the things you suggest work already in the current lfs version:

press F3 to fast forward and F2 to go back to normal speed, press P for pause.

if you have a long replay or just want a special scene cutted out go for mpredit:

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=34419
if it's a long replay and it's a cool crash at the end
and u miss the crash u must restart the replay.
and u must spend time wait for the end and if u have 4x to go fast to end the fps is very low and it changes back to 1 (if it's many cars)
It should be like jump to the time u want
It should also make morning coffee and serve it to my bed. But it doesn't.
These comments are ridiculous, it's a valid question and I'll be damned if it doesn't go unanswered.

...

Truth is, I don't know. But I'd also appreciate a replay feature.

As you can see, when you start a new thread, it gives a quick search and gives you suggestions on threads that may already be of the same subject. In fact, the last thread shown when I typed this thread's subject in is exactly the same title!

All people want is for others to look around a bit. LFS has been around for quite some time, and internet forums have been around even longer. It doesn't take much brainpower to think that you might have a look around the forum to answer some questions you might have when you are new to something.

You think the RC guys are a bit tired of the same old questions, "what plane should I get as a beginner?" Or perhaps the photography people are tired of the "Which is better, Nikon or Canon?" It's the constant barrage of the same questions and same suggestions that come up week after week that clutters up forums and make them less useful to finding the information that you seek. There's even a sticky at the top of this section titled, "Suggested improvements log [READ before making a new thread]"

Perhaps, if new people entering this section with that "OMG, I just thought of something!!!" suggestion that will be the new beginnings of the LFS that we've always dreamed of would read the sticky thread, they would know that it's already been suggested sometime around June of 2003, and September of 2003, and January 2004, a couple more months in 2004, again 6 more times in 2005, a whopping 23 times in 2006 since we had a ton of new people come to LFS, and again 10 more times in 2007, as well as a few times now in 2008.

But then again, after 6 years of development, it is difficult to think that someone may have thought of the superduper-this-will-change-LFS-forever suggestion in the past.
