I would go with the computer. I have to agree with a lot of people that most of the shows on TV are utter crap. Also as time goes on TV is getting filled up more and more with commercials for stuff you don't want or already own.
Quote from Jakg :Dougie - Trust me, you think your xx" monitor is "enough" but then you try something bigger. I used to use a 17", then tried a 19" for a few months. Had to go back to the 17" and within 2 days a larger monitor was in the post (a 22"). Now I sit in front of a 22" and a 2x 17" which is 56" (although very VERY wide) and it's still small lol.

EDIT - TBH I could probably afford both, but i'd like to have a car asap, but i really want this bloody phone. Grrrr!

I know you love all this technology malarky, but i would seriously suggest getting a car instead of a phone. I know you have a moped but a car would be alot better to go about in. Once you get your licence, it means you can go out to further away places and also go out with your mate's in the back.

If i was you, i would get the car, then save up for the phone. And i bet once you saved up, the newer and better one would be out.

It was very weird upgrading from a 17" to a 24" monitor. For the first few days I couldn't take in a whole image, my gaze would habitually settle in a much smaller area, like I was still looking at a 17" screen.

Quote :TV is rubbish, but if you enjoy watching it, you can use your computer for that

Works for us. Especially if you're getting digital reception, then the image can be really quite good, but I think the normal analogue TV looks awful on a computer monitor.
Computer, Plasma TV's suck anyway.
Get a Computer for one simple reason becuase if you get a good enough Computer you can watch TV and Movies and still play games and use the TV so its a great All in one deal!
Quote from Jakg :Oh thanks. From the guy that brings you "buy an alienware" we have a new option for "a or b?" which is "both!"

Please, Mr. Techno-Wonder, help me on this one...

I can buy a new phone (£200 - W960i) OR I can put the cash towards a car..

Wait - your answer will be both!

Please, ignore this fool. Do you NEED a 42"? Is your PC good enough for what you use it for? Do you have a source that's good enough quality to NEED a 42"?

Sorry for trying to help. I think I may go and live in a cave, throwing bricks at passers by.
You can watch movies on the PC.

2 birds, one stone.
