I personally hate the concept of skidding, not skidders themselves per-se. Normally it's when they open their mouths (or use their fingers) that I find a dislike towards them personally, but as I say, there's a small percentage that aren't like that, just a shame that the majority are.

I couldn't agree more. The over(ab)use of words like "gay", the naive "drifting is faster" thinking (hello? drift = ludicrous angles = lose grip = lose traction = lose speed (optionally = lose turbo boost))... I mean yes, it can be faster sometimes but it has to be a perfect drift and there're only very few corners where it really works.
I like drifting because it involves (intended) unpredictability, which is something you usually avoid in "proper" racing.

To be honest I don't really care about drifting. Sometimes I like to powerslide around in the Blackwood Car Park, but that's about it.

Do you want to set up a drift server? Do you want to drift around with your friends and take cool screenshots? Sure, that's fine by me. It's not like you're hurting anyone in the process.

The only thing is, and you cannot argue with me on this, is that drifting has a tendency to attract 12-year olds (both mentally and physically), immature people that can really easily get on your nerves sometimes.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, stop with the whole "gripper" and "grip racer" thing. It really does sound awful.

If I could have the capacity of moderating, I would been closing this thread since I saw the opening post. I have seen too many topics of this shit.

If you're a racer, good for you. If you're a drifter, good for you. But if you want to prove how useless that other thing is and keep flaming or whatever you're just a close minded fook.

I do both, racing for the thrills or something and drifting for just have some useless fun.

Only difference is that yes, lot of drifters are young and immature and that sometimes annoys me too. But the other fact is that drifting is now very much in highlight of fashionable motorsports and young people have tendency to follow these fashions or whatsoever. If it would be opposite, racing in the highlight and drifting just something what we have seen in motorsports for years, then majority of racers would be young and immature like much of drifters are now. Just deal with it.

Powersliding is a form of drifting you prawn.
And its impossible to even powerslide UF1's, they're FWD.

Drifting is just as fun as racing,i love both. people hate drifters coz most of them are very young with the tipical teenager attitude.
