When i have full Grid i get like 12 fps and all i get is this crackly sound when we spred out is going up and down from 20 ,40 or to 60 when i come up to a part of map fps drop if near about 5 cars the same i want to run smooth at all time i have made a post before and never fixed it and i am not even running any thing on high

Whats your graphics setting at? For the likes of AA and AF? These options can be set in the Nvidia control panel outside the game too...

I get around 25-30 fps at race start with a full grid and 50-65 fps a few seconds after start with a P4 3.4HT and 1GB ram
and old 7600 GS 256MB With 8xAA and 16xAF...


Do you have the same problem with slowdown in other games too?...

na i dont think ido i play world in conflict and that dose use alot and i can run that i mediam and even that is smooth

set LFS affinity to use 1 cpu or turn off hyperthreading

hmm.... Try running the game with no AA or AF and see if its still the same..

Also, try updating the graphics drivers and directx..

We both have directX 9c but most of my files are from 07-08, yours are from 2004...

It might be that ur CPU is causing problems as LFS is quite CPU intensive. LFS doesnt use multi-core CPUs yet
so its like its running on a P4 2.8

yes taht wht i was thinking i know my cpu is kinda bad but tehy cost and dam lot and if i take aa /af it looks so jagged and crapy

edit : just tryed only thing it dose is look bad fps still the same when i play solo i get 100fps

Did u go online to check? LFS will limit the FPS to 100 by default..

Try having an offline race with 10-15 AI to test...

What resolution do you play LFS at btw? Try setting the resolution to max in LFS then just use a low AA setting...

It still sounds like a setting needs changed rather than hardware problems...

i cant even race 7 ai i just get low fps and i run higest resolution and i tyred low aa /af but same and just looks even worse

What are you monitor settings in LFS? make sure minimum sleep is on 0ms, and that your running at the right Hz.

1280 1024 32 bit 60 refresh fps dot even stay on 1 number it goes up and down

Has this just happened btw or has it always been like this?....
