drivers republic?
Ok so i was told about a few other games including (drivers republic) but i can not find anything on this game is it out?

I found a site saying they was testing it out in 2006 but nothing about if it got released.

Any info would be cool.

Thank's

It's going to be released on the same day as Duke Nukem Forever.

(Read : never - it's been canned)
eero (the rbr and dr dev) is now a simbin (blimey? cant tell the 2 apart) employee... hes either still working on it silently or its dead... no one really knows

As far as I know Duke Nukem Forever is still being worked on, so that statement isn't correct . Since your (S20LEN's) reading comprehension seems to be non-existent, here once more:

Drivers Republic has been cancelled.
It will not be released, ever.
I was one of the people who managed to sign up to be a beta tester for it, basically unless you had an amazing super computer you couldn't run the game, even though the graphics sucked.
Well I'm not quite sure what you were doing wrong. On my modest rig it ran quite decently.
Was that in the very first beta? All I remember is getting 3 or 4 fps no matter what settings I used, lots of people had similar issues.
It never ran on my older 'modest' pc, I think I managed to play it once before it stopped working because of the download system, since then i've forgotten about it.
Worked like a charm for me... It's a shame that it was canned, because it felt pretty good
Only ran at 5fps for me also.
There was no performance issues for me on my old computer. Given how good RBR was I'm sad this has been canceled, I wouldn't be suprised if SimBin gave him a job just to stop it.

First beta ran very smoothly But as Bawbag said, the download system sucked tremendously.

that's not true, my computer is really lowrange and i could run it just fine at over 50fps, and multiplayer was pretty good iirc.
I had a decent frame rate on a reasonable system, but it took forever to download the stuff required, and then once I was there I had terrible lag. It wasn't much to write home about really - the physics were obviously very early, and the graphics weren't much cop either... But it did have potential - sadly potential isn't enough if it's at the beta stage.
The real potential was in the plans for how the modding system was going to be developed- it seemed very ambitious, perhaps too ambitious. Cool, though.
i hope theres some way of getting the beta to work if theres no more releases because even just the beta was almost on par with LFS as far as the physics go. It was atleast better than all the other """"sims"""" for offer.
For those of us who dont know, what is Drivers Republic?
