It's a very capable monitor, but does suffer from a strange inverse ghosting effect under some circumstances (light coloured objects on dark backgrounds).
PS, thread should probably be moved over to hardware section.
ddast - curious about:
- what resolution you run LFS
- what CPU
- video card
- FPS
============================================
32" Westinghouse LCD TV @ 1360x768x60mhz
- standard TV on the desk is a 27" Panasonic "tube"
- what resolution you run LFS = 1360x768x60mhz
- what CPU = P4 631 3.0ghz Cedermill @ 4.2ghz OC
- video card = Palit GeForce 9600 GT 512mb
- FPS = 80 vs. 150+ (lots of cars vs. solo hot lap style)
- I'll post my graphics settings later - if I figure out a good way to output the data
I run LFS at 1920x1080 on a Core 2 Duo E6600 o/c to 3.01GHz with 2 gig of RAM and an 8800GTX. I have all graphics on max with 16xQ AA and 16x AF and get 59-60fps at all times.
Just a question, how did you get the car console? And did you have to do much work to get it to fit in to your frame? I live near-ish to a scrapyard, and I'm considering going down and trailering/towing away something half-decent, for a racing frame
I bought it from a junk yard. Making it all fit was was difficult, but worth it in my opinion. Working gauges are next on the list.. I'm also starting on a new car sim soon for head to head racing when friends are over.
