Is there a way to have the GTR cars with sequential gearboxswhile on the gas? when im in too high of a gear i have to get off the gas in order to downshift.

Generally if your on the gas you don't want to downshift.

You should have downshifted when you were on the brakes or off the gas, before your revs got that far down. It's all about timing.

yeah i know..it doesnt happen often but when it does its kinda annoying

Its the way sequental gearbox with ignition cut works. To be able to shift, you have to unload the gearbox so it can change the gear. When you upshift, ignition cut does that for you, but under downshifting it is not used for logical reasons told in previous posts

Lifting is the only sensible option, you would never downshift with your right foot floored in real life and thankfully it is no longer necessary to do so in LFS to be competitive.
