G25 VS Fanatec 911 turbo wheel
well,
since the new fanatec wheel came out, i've heard alot about it.
but how good is it?
is it better or the same as the logitech g25. since logitech doesnt have any on stock(in belgium) i was wondering if i should buy the fanatec?

ty
You certainly have a go ahead with me on the 911 I rarely if ever use my G25 now it´s only for testing purposes.
@ kiss me.

The fanatec wheel is strongly improved. Since they have listend to the beta testers the wheel is really improved. I had a beta wheel and recently i have the new wheel. Defitnly a G25 killer. Although you cant really compare the wheels. Both are made with a different point of view.

The porsche wheel is good solid wheel witha really strong FFB. The use of a belt is great. Turining the wheel saves you a lot of noise. Its quite. So yeah get yourselfs a Fanatec 911 porsche turbo wheel.
Splendid choice if your aske me.
convinced
i'll call the shop today, since they were closed yesterday
sounds like a really good wheel, olso: no noise really appeals me
thanks for the advice guys
cheers
As for noise it make a different kind of noise more appealing but I wouldn´t say the G25 is that noisy in comparison. It seems this differ a lot between different G25 wheels some seem to be better then others. Also I have now got a bit of what sounds like belt whine at times with my 911. Mostly in arcade racing games where I use 180 degrees and tons of fast movements so well I call that round even.

I am not trying to convince you on the G25 lol but don´t expect it to be totally silent
meh, less noise is better, completely silent is hard to achief i think
Yeah sorry if I made look like it was completly silent. Sure it makes a noise but nothing compared to the old wheel or to mine other wheel.

But good choice, have fun with it. I think you gonna enjoy it.
well, i called the shop, he will contact his suppliers, and mail me this evening with the price
Why not order directly at fanatec. They deliver aswell.
i kno
i asked the shop if he would, but he kinda said: rather not.
so if he cant deliver, or to expensive 300€+
ill tell my dad to order it at fanatec
So whats the story ? bought 1 ?

the shop still didnt find any of his suppliers, supplying it
so, ima gonna order it from the fanatec site, alltho
if i pass my scooter exam tomorrow, i'm allowed to buy a scooter, wich offcourse gets priority

If you pass the Scooter exam? If it's anything like the UK one then it's technically impossible to fail, and pratically would require someone using flippers to ride to fail.

(At least that is if what your talking about is the equivalent of the UK "CBT" for Scooters)

The shop wont find any, bcus they only selling it from Fanatec itself. At least that is for the time being. They dont know what the future mide bring. Scooter exam, cool you better pass then. Pitty for the wheel though. But didnt you knew this whenyou went of a search for a wheel ?
yes, but i passed for my scooter exam, my dad said, if u pass ur exams u get a scooter, he ment school exams, not scooter exams, the ass...
so its back to the wheel seeing i'm gonna fail for school

Pass school first mate, then driving!!!!

One of my old mates had a G25, then tested then Fanatec. He just bought a new fanatec wheel. This says a lot to me!
meh, my dad told me like: its a great thing, graphic designing, but i dont know jack about it, i wanna program... what i like to do, not beeing forced into studying the same, as his son from his previous marriage
100% agree..... to go in to further ed, you have to want to do it
Fanatec wheel is good. Support from Fanatec is superb. Fast reply by them. Sure logitech has a established name already but you miss a button of 10 on the G25. Within LFS rather handy to have a hughe amount of buttons to your personal use. Its a great wheel, just not much have bought it already. Its a G25 competitor i tell you that. Your defitnly not wasting your money on the Fantec Porsche Wheel
what bothers me on the fanatec wheel, is that the gear shifter is at the same height as the wheel, i would rather be able to move it around, and i dont rlly like alot of buttons on the wheel, ok they are usefull. but to me it makes the wheel look kinda cheap
haven't bought any tho
since there were alot of problems between my dad and my bro.. he has moved out...
my dad told me: i never said your scooter depended on your grades.. you can have it, after your exams, he didnt say this before, but due the situation atm... so thats good for me..
but for the wheel, well, the logitech arrives at the shop tomorrow...
i ordered it a month or so ago... i dont have to buy it, but my dad doesnt like online payments with big amounts of cash...
seeing lfs wasn't even 50€...

So you ordered it already a month ago. You started this thread 5th of june. Nice way.
the g25, rough guess was a month ago,
could be 2 months, i was so happy that i was gonna get my scooter, thinking about dates wasnt really my main concern
since the g25 comes in thursday(its sure)
ill take it...
it has a shifter u can put anywhere, the wheels doesnt have buttons (wich i like)
so...
thanks for all the advice tho
I am gonna buy the porsche wheel
