hello people,
there is a virus moving at msn messenger. when someone gets the virus hes computer starts destroying itself(or thats what people told me) and hes msn starts sending this type of message like ''look my nude pictures but dont tell anyone'' as a link or'' look what i found from irc gallery(your email)'' as a link or that stuff. than it opens a page what starts downloading the virus. if you get it heres few guides to remove it before your computer goes wild http://www.trap17.com/index.ph ... senger-viruss_t20262.html

seen it before.... you litterally just delte msn off your pc and re-download it... or you just never look at porn on the net and dont get hacked.

I get messages and links from ppl who are offline, such as *username*pics.info click here for hot chicks....

i havent gotten or opened the link.. but i keep getting that message ''hey look what i found from irc-gallery(my email)'' from my friend. never opened, and never will

This is around for years already.. I sometimes get such a link from someone in my list, but I don't respond to it, or I tell them they got it.

i always recieve in my msn files rar about a gay party pics, gay dates, about homosexual meeting pics or something like that from my contacts called blas89 and chanoman315, i dont know who are these people. i think this is a kinf or virus.

i get those too when the person is offline like http: (guys name) something something.info i never click on those,i ask the guy if its his own site or virus.ah and the spiderpig was there too

Thats why nobody on my contacts list has been commenting on the nude pictures I have been sending out.

I had this, it sucked eventually just went away. Everytime i opened MSN is opened every contact and sent them a file.

I had this girl on my MSN, she was hot (and naughty) anyway, she sends a me file named "look at these hot new pics i took" me, with my brain in my bellend, clicked straight away, and the virus kicked in! Won't do that again!

I can't believe that people don't automatically check the box to block all messages from people not on your friends list. I have MSN open all day while I'm at work and have never had a single spam message (that's not from someone I know ).

I've only ever been sent one thing....something along the lines of 'hey look at this photo of me' and it asked me to accept a zipped folder..I mean how stupid can you be

The other day I got a link from my brother and without thinking just clicked it, then the panic set in because we hadnt a conversation open or anything, turned out it was legit. Yesterday I got one from an old friend from an MMO I used to play years ago, thankfully I spotted it was the virus... The problem with that virus is it sends to people on your friends list, and some people you just trust and they do send you ambiguous links and thats totally innocent...

Plus most of the people in my list aren't English, so why would they say "look at these pics of me"...

I got one that said "Tell me, is this really you?", with a link after it with my name in it, from someone whom I'd trust. So naturally I clicked it, and it downloaded a JPG. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to open the bloomin yoke, then said to him that the picture wouldn't open. Confusion ensued, as he said he didn't send anything, I was in the wrong chat window, and I sent him a screenshot of the window.

After like 2 minutes of "What the hell's goin' on here??", he realised it was the virus.

Apparently it doesn't activate until you shut your PC down, luckily I hadn't

Is it not an exe or zip?

If it had .jpg as an exetension I guess perhaps you might open it if it was from someone you trust. What gets me is Windoze having extensions turned off by default. How the hell are you supposed to know what's going on.

So many people fall for it though. I bet 95% of Windows users don't even know what an extension is, they just know the icon that looks like a sheet of paper opens in Word, the one like a picture opens in Paint etc etc.

I had this once too. I got it from a freind saying "(freind): I seen these crazy pictures of you from the other night! LOOK!" I was thinking "oh crap..." as i thought they were stupid pictures of me . So yup, i got the virus. Uninstalling and then reinstalling your msn soon sorts it though.

It had the JPG extension (I know what an extension is :rolleyes, but any time of file can have a virus attached these days...Of course, Avast didn't recognise anything, probably because it doesn't scan pictures or something...Oh well

Sometimes it's a picture.jpg.exe
because on some pc's it's standard to leave the extension away (.exe)
You will think you get a jpg, while it actually is a virus.
I never had a virus via MSN btw, that's just lame.

There are many viruses coming in all the time, but this kind of viruse some while ago was also on Skype. Never open these links, cause once you do your computer might get infected by viruse very fast, and you can't do anything sometimes, just have to fix PC. So use good Antiviruses too.
