Setup Request Etiquette
Thanks to Scawen, it is very easy to share a set while in a server and many drivers are happy to oblige when someone asks for one. Often it can help a driver to find that little extra speed he's looking for. However, it is important to note that a good setup not a replacement for skill. Do not expect to be running as fast as the person sending the set.

Here are some simple guidelines to follow when asking for a set:

1. Wait until the person is done racing
2. Ask politely.
3. If the person says yes and sends the set, thank them.
4. If the person says no, respect his response as final and do not pursue the matter further.
5. It may also be prudent to ask if the person minds if you send the set to others.
6. If the person sending the set says no, respect their request and keep it to yourself.

There are many reasons why a person may not wish to send a set. Do not take it as an affront if someone says no. Setups can take many hours to make and it is unfair to abuse someone for not wishing to share the fruits of their labor. In short, be polite.
5. Avoid asking while the person is in-race.
6. Watch your connection list after asking, sometimes the person sends the set but doesn't say anything.
7. If you ask for a setup without directing the request at a specific person, always include the car you want a setup for.
8. Be polite, but don't overdo it. Avoid writing essays just to ask for a set.

9. Unless the person is not racing, do not not avoid asking him for the set.
10. And don't wipe out the person that gave you the set in the very next race
I dunno, asking a setup while I'm racing is ok but be prepared to wait until next straight/proper place until I send it. If I have not answered it is either because I'm too busy or I haven't noticed your request. Ask again or wait patiently.

(you're better off with someone else's set anyways )
Most Drifters spam for a set which is why they dont get it or they get a bad response. If you ask them kindly once give it a second if they pit and send it you should thank them greatly.

So for the Drifters dont spam you want a set or you wont get nothing

I'll give you my old one if you see me in game

Asking for a setup should NOT be the first thing that you type when you've joined a server.

That’s the biggest announce that most people I know have, when someone joins a server and immediately asks for a setup, especially when they disconnet anyway after leaving the pit lane and crashing at the first turn.

At least do a race to show you're going to stay in the server and race.

I also find it funny when someone asks for a set, I send it to them and then they leave immediately after going to practise offline I guess
