I got out of LFS for a half a year or so, and I recently downloaded the Y patch and transferred some of my old files over and started it up, it all works fine and dandy but for some reason all of my old sets won't show up in LFS except (this has me completely stumped) my LX6 sets.......OF COURSE the car I dislike the most. lol.

I just don't know what to do, I'm terrible at making sets...I'd be completely lost without the ones I have now....I still have all of them in my old folders. Anyone got any ideas?

You need to rename the files, they use the TLA prefix now, e.g. XRG_so6r.set

well I'm doing something wrong when trying to get that to work...I guess Ill just have to manually rename these all....

They also need to be in 'LFS\data\setups' as opposed to 'LFS\data\settings'.

TBH you'd be better starting a fresh, or if there is some setups you really want that dont relate to racing (new physics) then just copy them.

What pearcy said - you may also find yourself having to make changes, so the sets match with patch Y. Setupgrid.net is pretty updated and heavy on sets. Just go there and grab some.

As a general rule when adapting sets from patch X to y you need to:

A) reduce cambers slightly
B) lower gearing slightly (making them closer too)
C) reset tyres pressures
D) reduce downforce slightly.

Certainly this is the case with the FOX.

thanks all for the help, I just went ahead and renamed them all. I pretty much scratched all my F1 sets seeing as they are useless.

or you could have used the x10_to_x30_setup_fix.exe file, that does just that: rename from old format, to new..
