Likening my sexuality to a child rapist is extremely offensive, Jtbo. I've been raped, by a straight guy, and to liken me to that monster is the single most offensive insult I've read on this forum. I'm not going to retaliate but I would like to leave you with something to think about.

If I was straight I would be no more available to you than I am now, I'm taken. My relationship with my partner is no more rellevent to you than any other woman you meet, it does not effect you, and if you let it intimidate you - from another country - to the point where you give up something you enjoy, then it is you who I believe has the mental problem.

The people who are your freinds out in the real world will include people who like different things "in the bedroom" than you. Some may swing, some might like Dom/Sub roleplay, some might like pain, some might like tying up and or gagging, I had neighbours when I lived in a flat who liked Tarzan and Jane roleplay... When you see your friends next, and I assume youve not slept with them all so don't know who likes what, are you going to let what they get up to in the bedroom bother you? I suspect not, so why do I bother you?

Anyway if you want to trundle off I'm not bothered, I've met biggots and been beaten up for who I am, so I'm quite happy for you to walk away.

Just don't go calling me a rapist, my girlfriend consents tyvm.

Facing up to your sexuality is very difficult, I turned to drugs as a teenager rather than face up to my sexuality. For me the conflict was a personal one and I wasn't to badly homophobic, but its not the same for all of us.

I feel sorry for Jtbo. And others like him. I feel sorry because I know what it means to hurt and damage yourself like that, and to stand out and be so obvious that the last person to realize it was me.

Homosexuality is so cruel.

(FWIW I'm not Gay, but that really doesn't matter - Would my tech advise be less valid if I like guys? Would racing against me be not as good if i'd ever had "a quick fumble"? I don't know the sexuality of anyone on this forum but 3 people - finding out now wouldn't affect what I already know about them...)

It is all these things and everything in between.

Hence if you define heterosexuals as those who are attracted exclusively to the opposite gender, in all social arenas, the number of heterosexuals on this planet is probably a small fraction of the world's population. JTbo may be one of them.
