Are there any current British comedy shows as good as Peep Show?
Just finished Series 5. What a show.
In one word, NO. Don't even know what Peep Show is, seen it on telly whilst flicking through a couple of times, is it really that good?
The IT Crowd was pretty funny, well, at least it had Chris Morris in it.

Have a look at "Brass Eye" or "The Day Today", Steve Cougan is pretty good too, his "Alan Partridge" series are very funny in places.

Also, I still love the Anarchic comedy of Mr Mayall and Mr Edmonson in "Bottom" .

I really didn't think those on tother side of the pond got comedy, go figure.......LOL

It's pretty brutally funny.

I take it you've seen Arrested Development and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, among others?
Of course , there is some

Is this the one in which it's the weird family and all that ( very precise I know) because I think thats really funny. It has a small cult following due to the time it's, normally 12:15am.

The Boosh
That Mitchel and Webb Look (same guys as Peep show)

AFAIK neither are currently showing on TV in the UK but both are recent.

And both are a pile of steaming pants, The Boosh is total claptrap

Would presume that a brit knows his celebrities. Last time i checked, he was Coogan.

In my eyes, Monty Python and Blackadder are just unbeatable.
Although Red Dwarf is enjoyable from time to time.

Mitcheal and Webb had it's moments....The Boosh is for students trying to be trendy.
Peep Show is absolutely brilliant, but 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' is complete crap. I'd highly recommend 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' to any Peep Show fans, although it's obviously not British.

I would have to give a big "CHAIRMAN WOW!" to the IT Crowd

Everything mentioned in this thread (inc. The Mighty Boosh) is good so far, except the American stuff (sorry!).

PS - Bill Bailey f'ing rocks.
Jak, how can you not like Arrested Development? I mean seriously...

I watched half of the pilot and just closed VLC - I hadn't laughed once.

I have no idea if you've watched Bill Bailey, but do. He rocks. Litterally.

Bill Bailey is a legend. I loved his Bewilderness standup, especially the bit about west country folk.

Black Books is well worth a watch, might not be current but it's funny as hell.

Ohhh look out, it's the spelling police
Imo nothing will ever beat monthy python and the fast show. lately i think british comedy is less funny because most of it has been done before
I enjoyed the bit of Black Books I saw, but couldn't get past the laugh track. :S
Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps

Awesome, hillarious, and completely lacking morals. Also correctly identifies the Jammy Dodger as divine biscuit godliness.
