1/2 the words they say over here are the muddled versions anyways and people in the USA are usually pronouncing the 'english' properly

Actually we do. We were even conquered by the French at one point - the shame!

Although in fairness historians seem to think the Normans were actually Vikings who conquered / settled in Normandy, and Harold's army was pretty knackered having just kicked the crap out of a different army of Vikings just outside York, and then had to march all the bloody way to Hastings to take on more of the pesky blighters.
