Hi guys, im sure your all fed up of these questions but id thought id ask... so here goes...

im using 3DS max along with brazil v9, now i managed to stumble across a scene for an fxo however i cant find any other scences for like FXR etc...

the problem im faced with is how the hell do you apply an actuall lfs skin to that basic model that is displayed in 3ds max.... if some one can come along and tell me that would be great... or just give me the slightest idea what im doing

Just go through the tutorial in the 1st link I posted, you'll learn some basic stuff on how 3ds max works.
So someone is going to write you out a mini tutorial which you will have to read? Stop being lazy and read the tutorial which is already available.

Skim read it 'til you find the part about adding textures. It's not hard, once you've done it once it's as easy as pressing the power button on your PC.

How was I being a cnut? You got given a link to a perfectly good tutorial, yet you still wanted more handed to you on a plate.

As for that render, it looks like something isn't mapped right as the skin is applied on the windows and the bonnet is messed up (unless that's how you've made the skin). Any chance we could see the skin you're trying to render?

I only use Max7 so I'm not sure whats what in 9, but I imagine it can't be much different.

Also it looks like you have no reflection plane or lighting, which is why the car is appearing really dark.

Make sure the skin is applied to the correct slot in Material Editor (body [ADD SKIN]), providing you're using the premade scenes from digiserv?
thank you for your constructiveness

right im a total noob at this so please be patient... the skin im using is one i made you can see high res attacthment below... now as for adding to skin... i just simply dragged it from my skins folder straight onto the body of the car? i though this was how you do it so ok...i fcked up lets try again... so you say i must click on the main body of the car... and LOAD ?

i am yet to see a load button

thanks in advance
and thanks for the patience

You seriously need to read the tutorial. It's not very complicated and you'll learn a lot from it. Material Editor is where all the textures will need to be applied.
thanks mate x
with your attitude.... I don't think you will get much help from here.
You are just an ignorant and a lazy git. All your queries were answered in the idiot proof step by step tutorial. If you can't be bother to go through it, I don't think any one here will bother to tell you neither. You may just as well close this thread.
