any way on using the POV pad on the G25 for looking ?
I just got my G25 on Sunday, I've set up almost everything on it. I somewhat added looking on the POV switch pad, which is the bigger black circle on the G25's shifter module (it's under the 4 smaller black buttons and above the 4 red buttons). I only set up the right, left and rear look, I'm wondering if it's possible to use the whole POV switch pad for looking.
Providing the POV/HAT switch registers a button press and functions correctly you can assign them to many of the keypresses in LFS.
You want to press both at once to get the extra look angle? Either configure the look amount in LFS -OR- if you need two states, you should use your G25 profiler software and configure the bottom POV switch to press both "W" & "E" together. When you press the left or right HAT/POV this will lock in the direction you want to look first, then proceed to hold the bottom POV and if it's profiled right, then "W" and "E" will be pressed together meaing you will have the extra look angle feature. (although I can't test this I dont have G25)
You wanna look backwards as well? This is tricky, but you're going to have to set up a custom view (for each car) that looks backwards, then assign the top POV button to press V when you press that POV button and shift-V when you release it and always drive from the cockpit view, or vice versa what I just explained and use chase view to drive instead, then prepare for barrels of flamage for using a "cheat" to look about. If you can't get the g25 profiler to press another keyboard combo when you actually release the top POV button, then you might need to assign the bottom POV as a shift-V so you can switch back to 'normal driving view' after you have looked back briefly.
