XRR sound
First of all, this is my first engine sound so don't flame me to much . It gives the XRR a Le Mans GT car kind of sound........I hope. Please leave a feedback after you tested it so i can see how bad it is

Good job, better than most of Gills's in terms of quality (no clipping)

pm sent.
Quote from BAMBO :I didn't said you can't use it on the XRG, do whatever you want with it just don't post it as your own and also sorry for flaming you, I missunderstood your posts.

yea, you misunderstood me a little there, and edited my posts too, since you deleted yours..
don`t worry, i wouldn`t do that.*(bold stuff), and also am not a thief.
i have my own sounds, some made even from xrt demo days (well, technically not 100% my own since the dump valve sound, air intake, and others.. were made by other people).

Massive clipping is bad, regardless of the system
Don't get me wrong though, some of your sounds are brilliant

I am well aware that some of my sounds have clipping, but sometimes it just cant be helped, otherwise the engine will sound nothing like it's real life counterpart. For example, the nascar sounds for the GTR class that i made trying to match the nextel cup cars sound had a lot of clipping because it had to be very loud and very grumbly. Without the clipping it sounded nothing like a real nextel cup car. So once again, i apologise and i am well aware of the clipping. I am not just ignorant, i do know that it is there.
I really don't see what the big problem with clipping is... If it sounds good/realistic, then why does it matter if the box in the top right hand corner says 'clipping'??

I think that some people dont like clipping because you cant hear tyre sqeel (sp, sorry tired), horns, etc.
I found a perfect explanation for you guys. (scroll down to "Why is clipping bad for speakers?", unfortunately there're no anchors on the page)

I'll try to make a clean and a clipping version of the same engine sound so you can hear the difference.
Well .. the thing I concentrate on is making the Engine sound realistic. That is my greatest priority
clipping is a preference. a sound is not better with or without clipping, there is no quality difference. IMO a sound with clipping usually does sound more realistic but like gills said every one has a different sound system, and i make just as much sounds but he does requests all day so appreciate that.

and no one has died from clipping...i listing to it everyday and my brain only hurts with a high turbo freq, and i always hear my tyres
No offence, but you have gone way to off topic. This is a thread about an engine sound, comment on that or make another thread about clipping.

Right, sorry about that.
All I can say is that your non-clipping sound sounds way better on a xfi elite pro + Pioneer A-J7 (which is a very good, old and rare amp) than any permanently clipping stuff.
I like it and I like most of Gills's sounds as well, although some have to be adjusted to my needs.

Thanks for sharing
Don't mention it, it's always a pleasure to see that someone actually likes my work.
sorry, i just hate the stereo type of clipping=bad. went too far with that but your XRR sounds nice
Thanks again!Clipping is bad for the speakers only if you have the volume turned up way to much, sometimes you just can't do it without clipping.

another bad thing about clipping badly is that when having lot's of cars going through southcity distortion gets so immense sound seems to collapse on itself. So you have to keep in mind those situations. When driving on your own it could sound nice though but still...
Real clipping caused by overloading an Amplifier is the real bad thing, thats why i have build in clip indicators in my amp. So it's not strange thing to say clipping=bad. But in case of LFS the clipping occurs inside the soundengine and is not nescessarily a bad thing for amps and speakers. Just had to clear that up, sorry for OT post. XRR sounds nice though. Good job.
