In the beginning, when the series was full on, there was a website called RaceAlliance, which allowed reports from the website etc. This was removed some time ago, as the signup for the Series was too low.
So basically, with such a small grid, we never thought we'd need to use these report services, however, it seems we do as there is a clear difference in opinion as to what clean, gentlemanly racing is. Most managed it just fine, but fill in your report, let the people of RaceAlliance manage your complaint, as will the other drivers involved.
As for the rules of the series, again, everything "was" available when you signed up, infact, when you signed up using the signup form, you wouldnt have been able to get that far if you hadn't have read the rules!!
If you search around on the Forums here, you can find what you are looking for!
Reports are coming in now, and provisional results will be posted tonight.
Official Results from RaceSIM.co.uk will be delayed a few hours longer than usual, as there will be pending decisions from RaceAlliance.
You should have an appeal coming in on racealliance. It 404's me after I submit it but I think all 7 times I tried it went through last time, so I'm looking for confirmation here. I don't ask for much, so please don't pass over it and just throw it out.
Also, I'd like to point out that there is a HUGE conflict of interest in you being the reportee and the judge with racealliance. If you are going to be running in this series in the future, I think it is important that you find a third party mediation service.
Race 3 left a very bad taste in my mouth, as I felt that you catered to your team in your decision making process. As you can see though, I'm still here and racing and that is because I think you have a good thing here. It needs to be polished a bit; and that shows, but I enjoy racing with everyone in the series so far (even though this race you were rather cold with your responses to fairly simple inquiries).
In conclusion, really take a look at the appeal. It's a fair deal. And please please please update your information into one spot. Having to go to email, the forum, and racesim to find information is trying at best.
I dont have anything to do with it Red. Once a report is passed to RaceAlliance, it is there for the RACA to review. When they have thier decision, I get an email, and im passed information before presenting it to you.
Actually, again, there isnt. RaceAlliance was setup to offer such mediation services to leagues and league administrators. They have a team of 3-4 experienced Sim-Racers who review each and every incident. (Granted with the collapse through lack of community interest in the whole Formula500 idea, they have a lot less to do), but perhaps an explanation of the process would help you.
You submit the report to RaceAlliance. Upon this, I get an email informing me that a new report has been submitted (that way I know to wait to do the results or not). Next, once the Report has been reviewd, I get another email explaining the report, any penalties or other RaceAlliance findings. Then I can create the reports, and publish the results.
I created RaceAlliance to remove the stupid and frankly annoying accusations of Bias. I do not do anything for RaceAlliance except host the website. The identity of the Experienced Sim Racers are not released, however, they are not in the F504 Series (which isnt hard as there aint exactly many of us).
Regarding coldness to simple inquiries.. you just said it yourself, they are simple and in most cases already cated for on the forums (the website too, when it was running). Im experienced in League Administration. This aint the first series ive ran, so please believe me when I say, simply inquires get annoying if one has spent a good portion of one's time providing answers for someone to come ask in server. (General rule of thumb: Server = Racing. Forum = Questions/Answers).
Again, im not involved in the decision making process of RaceAlliance, which im guessing you are again refering to.
Trying.. lmao. Really!
Here is a better idea, why dont I just stop everything ive ever done, and wait (and wait and wait and wait etc), for someone who clearly has more of a clue than I do to come and do it for me?
Why? Because its simply not going to happen, thats why. The simple truth is that no body cares. The Formula500 Dying was a clear representation of that.
You get an email, once, weekly, which im sorry, isnt a bloody inconvience to recieve or go check. The email gives you important details, details which I dont wish to publish on the forums or a website perhaps.
Else you have the forums. The forums are for discussion, and that is what is found here. A thread (one thread) is provided per week for that week's rounds. Everything related to that week's rounds are posted in that thread..
So so far we have 1) One thread to check, and 2) One email to check... 5 minutes tops.
Next are the results. Well frankly, I like the way the results look. Its something which a forum is not designed for. And the forums look crap for displaying results. People will disagree, that is personal preference. My preference is to not use the forums to display my results.
In summary.. Please please please be careful when making comments or accusations about people. Perhaps it would have been an idea to ask how RaceAlliance operates rather than presuming Bias or Catering towards anyone in particular. - But thats totally selfish, as in it may stop me going to bed in a bad mood once in a while. Of course, I could just not read this, or other threads, or I could not make a reply. Like some other people.
