The online racing simulator
He rendered the 3 cars, then did some Photoshopery to get the blur.
The only problem with the blur technique Raptor used is that the object behind the window does not get blur (look through the glass from FZR)
One way to get round is hide the windows when render the image and Zdepth pass. Then render a reflection pass of the windows only.
In photoshop, do your lens blur as usual, then at the end apply the window reflection pass on top.
^^ true.. I'm too lazy though.
Quote from Gustix :yeah i know that this is not a LFS car but i want to show u my first s15 model (so please don't hit me )

looks kinda wrong, but nice for a first model
Looks ok Gustix, make sure to fix the rounded edges of the door and skirts.
Nice Gustix. Can't wait when you finnish it...
Quote from Gustix :Thanks

Liner i just added a subsurf modifier for render thats why the edges is rounded

The same thing happens in Max when you use Mesh Smooth.
Quote from LineR32 :The same thing happens in Max when you use Mesh Smooth.

nope, forget mesh smooth use turbo smooth -> much better and faster, so back to the problem, if you use chamfer on the sharp edges it will be sharp with smooth, but if you not it will be round and Gustix if you will post a wire of the car maybe we can help you

Thanks, guys.

Bose321: It was quiet easy, really. A long reflection plane above the cars, but not covering the entire car width to create the rim light effect, and then a spot light to "floor" the cars. Looks a bit like bottom of the XRT is lid in the big render, but thats just another example of me being lazy (reflection is a simple copy paste in PS, and didn't want to offset it too much)

It was easy because same setup worked for all cars - had to move the reflection plane slightly for the FO8 though, as it picked up too much from the plane.
Really nice renders guys!

:wow: I'm certainly gonna use that.. it's pure car

btw.. any chance you have a big version of that FO8? or could you do one?
Having no net connection gives you motivation to do some 3d work.

I made a Rally version of the FZ50.

Still need to put some brakes and wheel nuts in the scene.

And yeh - have all cars in über-res. How big do you want it?

I noticed the extra front lights first, and immediately thought of Sweden
I'm not too much into rally, but looks cool. Rims are a bit soft IMO.

Edit: btw - notice the black grain on rear side window (rear view render shows it clearest)? Thats caused by overlapping polys.

As big as possible? or 1280 x 800 would be ok too
Quote from Sponge :As big as possible? or 1280 x 800 would be ok too

I rendered them @ 5k resolution... so, how big would you like it?

3840 x 2400? (1280 x 800 times 3)
