When I saw that yesterday (or was it this morning, I forget) I laughed like an arse and knew what my next rant would be about. It is a totally ridicules situation, next you wont be able to have valantines day without giving everyone a card so not to hurt their feelings, or have to give everyone Christmas cards, before long you wont be able to play sports for competition/fear of law suits, oh wait toolatealready the case.
Whoever is taking them to court should be shot, to be honest. He has his own right on who he wants at his birthday party! I'm sure if Osama Bin Laden was in his class he wouldn't want him there!
Who are the people making the decisions and rules in this world? They are the ones whom 30 years ago were made fun of and picked on in school in gym class. What are the people who did the ridiculing doing now? They are holding the lower paying jobs in the factories and elsewhere underneath the smart and geeky.
The smart geeky kids move on to get the better jobs. They remember being ridiculed in school, and since they are the smart ones with the better paying and more powerful jobs now, they remember how it was in school, and can now change that for the geeky kids today. Thus, they have all physical competition wiped out of education so that it eliminates embarrassing moments for the geeky kids who can't do the physical competitions.
nope, the future mankind are going to grow up to be so tightly wrapped up in cotton wool and smothered by this nanny state they will be incapable of making even the most simple decisions
We must be doing pretty damn well when school yard politics reaches the highest level of government. Never mind the poor, and starving (yes, even in Sweden). Nope. We must focus all out attention on preventing 2 8-year old's feelings getting hurt. Wouldn't want them gaining useful experience now would we?
I'm starting to feel like it's time for the western world to have some major, far reaching disaster hit so we can get back in touch with what is important in life. Nothing like fighting for your life to bring some perspective.
Wow and other people say that Americans have a problem with frivolous lawsuits... How could they possibly come to a verdict on a frickin' birthday party!?
It wasn't far reaching enough. People saw it on the teevee and then went back to their normal lives filled with a little more hate. If people lost everything and had to fight to keep themselves and their family alive they'd start to appreciate how well off they really are/were.
(I seem to be getting rather cynical about the state of the world)
I think that story is a joke. Back in my day of primary school, there were 3 absolute langers in the class. Ya know, the class bullies. Never asked to any parties, didn't do any extra curricular activities, etc. We weren't forced to invite them anywhere, heck, the teacher couldn't stand looking at them
Not necessarily, I have computer qualifications coming out of my arse and right now, I am more excited about the prospect of joining the Army than I am at getting an IT job. Plus with the market being saturated by geeks, odds of getting a geek job are slim.
he has the right to not invite them. like now in massachusetts someone was taking a piss behind there house. they were caught and classified as a sex offender. they say its showing your private to the public.
