Yea downloaded the 1979 F1 series....so much fun man. Driving around Monaco in a 1979 Ferrari F1, one thing I do give to rfactor is it gives you a sense of speed which a I find LFS does not.
rFactor has the Nordschleife.
It also coould have been a half-decent game, if they didn't go with that crappy old ISI-engine.
Also, why do you think people couldn't buy both, rFactor and LFS?
On a side note: Keep creating useless threads (as this is clearly only about bashing rFactor) and insulting other forum members, and I'm sure one of our dear moderators will help you cool down for a bit.
Another example, I got rfactor and MMG07 mod(F1), I went racing at Bathurst and I really thought I was in that car. When I tried the same with LFS, it didn't feel quite right.
However that said I drove terrible in rFactor because of my racing wheel, when I got LFS, the wheel was perfect for it.
One of the major differenced I've found between rFactor and LFS is that in rFactor, I've *never* been able to get in an online game. Well, once for about a minute, but it kicked me out.
Yeap, that's the main drawback of rf. You need a G25 and you need it correctly set too (both ingame and in the drivers... utlimetely, in realfeel also)! Although, it is also car dependant.
It is sometimes, depending on the car. It needs tweaking too to get it feel right. On the other hand, it can be set with different settings for each car... so if you invest some time to get it where you want for one car, it won't affect the handling of the other cars! It also comes with a console, so you can watch the spikes and the rest of your force-feedback in orfer to make it suit you best. You can always copy & paste your final settings to another car's section in RealFeelPlugin.ini if you want to
I want the option for "Other" or "Its their life and they are free to choose what they want and who are we to judge them without knowing them" where are those options?
No, I am a fully paid-up owner thank you very much....
I also found the only mods being played were mods I didn't particularly want to use. Where's the 'track-day-at-Nurburgring-Tourist' I was expecting to be massively used?
The engine isn't the problem, it does have limitations, but if used to its full potential it is probably as good as LFS overall in terms of physics modeling, the problem is it is only after 10 years with the engine that people have started to use common sense and try feeding sensible inputs into rather than just botching for the correct result.
I tired it and It does look great, but I couldn't get my G25 working in the same way in LFS. As in the FFB was all screwed up and liked to "pull" all the way to one side.
this must be a historic moment... the first time a brit has spelled that word correct on this forum
if we can also teach him that the straigt at le mans isnt called mulsanne we might be able to make the closest thing to a proper european out of him
