New VW Scirocco
My brother showed me this a couple months back. My first thought: looks French.
I saw the spread in topgear loved it then still love it now love the scirocco gtr even more
I saw the Scirocco N24 a while ago, but the road version looks just as good. Very, very nice. I wish we could get cars that looked that nice in North America. Why is the styling here always 10 years behind? So frustrating.
I really like the sound of the "twincharger" 1.4, and it has pretty impressive specs for a 1.4, and im sure it could give alot more with some mods.

Come to think of it, i would actually really like to purchase one. I think they look fantastic, and i've never had a VW before.
I think i might plan to get one next year, i REALLY like it.
Looks great but what else would you expect from VW?

swap the m3 for one?
It doesn't look too bad, and like Nath, the Twincharger name sounds quite cool.

I'd much rather an older Scirocco if I had to have one though.

No bloody way! I would'nt swap that car for anything, i cannot explain how much i love it.

I think im just gonna use the peugeot for a year (cant use it atm, it has a blown engine and the worst bit is i dont have a licence yet ) and then i will sell the peugeot and buy one.

Would you swap it for a veyron?
Quote from Luke.S :Would you swap it for a veyron?

Would the owner of a Veyron sway it for an M3? Doubt it.

Would anyone want a Veyron? If yes, why? I'd rather put 1000bhp and some wheels on my house and drive it. Oh wait, the Veyron is a house.

You sell the veyron back to the guy then buy the m3 back off him. :P

Actually, no. It's impressive what bugatti/Vw done, but its an ugly beast, and plus, i would'nt get insured on it at 17 so how would i drive it?
You don't need forced-induction to get 170HP out of a 1.4L inline-4.

And the quote me happy people would ask if it is a rover.

You might want to wake up from your dream.
It is not ugly but either beautiful, the design just doesn´t say nothing to me. It´s boring, like all VW
Looks like small Peugeot.
I'm very confused....

Why are all the "younger crowd" here making these threads and saying "Wow, the new xxxx looks fantastic...." when all these new cars just all look the same?

The NSX? Looks the same as every other "sports coupe" out there nowadays. The supposed RX7? Looks like a cross between the RX8 and the NSX, which is nothing more than a cookie cutter styling of the 350Z.

Now the Scirocco? Wow! I wish my Rabbit looked like that! Oh, if I had a current Rabbit, Golf, or GTi, it WOULD look like that! Because the supposed new Scirocco LOOKS LIKE THE SAME FREAKIN THING!

No one else see these cookie cutter styled cars like I do?

Someone please post a new thread of an upcoming car design that has some style, unique style that is. Something that actually looks nice.....
Don't be silly, new cars look like they were designed with balloons now, rather than rulers, because of pedestrian safety rules.
I actually don't mind the current trends in hothatchery. They all look nearly the same (VW Scirocco, Alfa Romeo Brera, etc) but that's fine by me because I like the shape anyway

I hated most car shapes in the 90s, I don't like the new Ford Focus or Seat Leon shapes compared to the old models, so it's nice to see some shapes I actually like
#23 - JJ72
I am pleasantly surprised with the street version....since I think the GTR version is pretty brick like (and huge!). yeah modern hatches all look kinda the same, that's because I think they have peaked with the basic flow of the design, the waist line along with the bonnet line is almost shared universally. I think most of them look quite good, just too bulky at times.
How come everything these days has squinty headlights going up and backwards and strange curves.

I just want to see a good looking cars that aren't trying to be pretty and just look mean.
I imagine it'll be aerodynamics and safety. Keep the hot lights and sharp glass away from potential pedestrian impact area. It also lets them place the lights slightly higher, lighting up a little more of the road.
And making them that shape might minimise drag around the edges of the joins so the air flows more smoothly.

Wow, I should be a designer or something
