Hi all....

First of all....the video....could be better. I personally like the slowmotions with more detail and zoom. Try harder mate!

Now... about this comments....tss, tss, tss.... OMG!!! People!!!
We are where to have fun, showing, seeing videos, help and make a few comments, not for this.
I must say that im disapointed with such behavior from all of you. I respect all opinions, even the ones that are wrong, but putting down people for making comments, or making a less good videos or even his Nationality....NO!
Let's all try to be happier, and try to make people happy too.
I know squid can be a "bit" hard sometimes, but most of the times he gives good advices as Nolan and others, but i understand and like his "comment style", his dark humor, but unfortunatly i must confess that maybe the other members just can't. So, imo and to end this kind of sad thread replys, maybe you Squid and others that use the same "comment technics", should try to be less ....less....,less like that.
Im not asking anyone to change their personality, just not to show their worst and mean side.
Guys...just be happy...

I have'nt watched the O/P's video yet (sorry mate. I will watch it when i get up tomorow.) but i just wanted to say, if you think squids movies suck, then you would'nt know a good movie if it smacks you in the face and then stomp's on your jewels. Sure, 1 or 2 of his video's have been a little uninteresting, but i find most of them that i have watched have kept me entertained and eager for more. I suggest you actually watch at least 4 of his video's before you say they suck.

Oh, and P.S, you may think squid make's rude comments but you need to prepare yourself for comments AND criticism when making a movie. You think squid is harsh? HA, wait until you present something like that to real companys, you will run out of there blubbering like a small child.

Omg i said yes comments are fine. Course tell them what bad but they do it in a harsh mana. I can take criticism i come here to have fun.

but respect people i know if you say yes it crap and tell them why and, give them way to improve it or make better without very harsh comments. It makes them happy fining out how to make better but u bring out a evil name and say harsh things. people take there time and you just rip the crap out of it.

Yay it's not closed yet! I think you all need to grow up and get over it honestly. It's the damn internet and somebody criticized you... wow... I've NEVER found squids comments hurtful or harsh, they merely point out what was wrong and sometimes what was good. I categorize squid as one of the best and his words are worth listening to.

OK, let me bring it down to in an analogy of your post

an Action movie doesn't have to show people get shot, and cars get crashed and buildings exploding
a Race coverage doesn't have to show the race, the cameraman could film nice birds in the sky
a Boxing match doesn't have to show what's going on in the ring, people could be interested in the expression of a referees' face
and the best and I believe closest analogy : a Porn movie doesn't have to show naked people


You use Slow Motion to show off fine details... if you don't show them, what exactly ARE you trying to show that wouldn't be seen in proper 1.0x video? Driving? I don't think so. Track? Uh huh... yeah right... WHAT THEN?

You see... there are NO RULES on how to make a slow motion video... there are things that slow motion videos show. Just like there are no rules on how to make a porn movie, there are things that porn movies show. I don't think a porn movie would be good if you were to see 1.5 hours of badly filmed cupboard, with screams of joy in the background... Same goes for this movie - it doesn't show what it's supposed to

I see your point and I can see how you are right about that. But...

It depends what you look at in a movie. Technical quality or aesthetic quality. I look for the latter - because thats what movies are for right, to look good?

I think slow motion movies look cool, because it slows things down and with a nice song over the top its something nicer to watch than a really fast paced shaking rock anthem video.

But what's to hold your interest? Show me a slo-mo movie thats NOT showing intricate detail, then...

IMHO, squid's reviews and comments are pretty fair... he speaks his mind, wich is ok (of course some people can't bear it). They aren't harmful... he just gets a bit upset when people think a good video is something done in 5 minutes (wich this is not the case, hopefuly).

I have uploaded one video to this forum... "Called throttle control", and squid commented about it. He said it was ok, but I was missing an idea for the video, it was just a bunch of clips with no relation, in slowmotion.

It was straight to the point, and I didn't feel dissapointed at all! I knew it was just a test, and he was right.

I haven't uploaded anything since that video, because I haven't got to the same level again (or higher).

I think that when you post a video (going for Unokeva example, and BigTime's post) at a level, you just can't post something below it! Even though the "pure LFS" was better than anything I've done, with the shadow of his brother video (Welcome to LFS 2 (?)) it was lacking something...

So you should stop crying about some people's posts, and start improoving! Take things easy, and be optimistic!
