I have made the drift track from the danish event "Danmarks Hurtigste Bil" (DHB)

I watched the track from some videos and made it as good as I could like the real track

If you could.....
I would like to look at modding a track, nothing fancy just adding some cones but I was wondering how to get started.
Can you point me in the right direction, programs to use excetera...

You could use LYTe or TrackLab: both described here, or just use the ingame Shift-U method, described in your docs\autocross.txt

Save the file in the "layout" folder, load the Autocross area, press Shift + U and you can select the layout.
